I never watch Mystics basketball. Hardly knew they won a championship until Turd starting bragging about it in regards to how well Monumental was doing. He's going to ride thse Caps/Mystics championship bandwagon until the wheels fall off.

Not to diminish the Stx' accomplishments (because I really do love the team and enjoy watching them), but this situation is similar to the Cap's. That is, Elena Della Donne, arguably the best player in the league, decided she wanted to be closer to her family in Delaware, so she forced a lopsided trade to Washington. The other pieces were then easy to assemble -- though the Mystx do have a good basketball man, Thibault, leading the team. In the Cap's case, they just happened to suck enough and get lucky in the lottery in one of two years that there was an absolute generational talent (Ovi) coming out.

The frustrating part is that, with the Caps, Ted did the same thing that he did with the Wiz - he held on to his GM (McPhee) too long and put him in a playoff or else position such that he traded an incandescent young franchise player - Forsberg -- for a half year rental scrub (Erat) who was quickly out of the league. Sound familiar? Very arguably, the Caps should have 2-3 titles by now.

Been enjoying watching the Mystics play. Not sure about the Champ potential.
EDD has not looked like an MVP to me probably because of her health.

I need to get to a game. I was supposed to go to the SEA game a week ago but
ended up needing to go to a funeral service in FL instead.

It seemed to me they were getting jobbed last night vs Spark.

I also don’t see the same EDD. I really think the bad back injury is going to limit her to maybe one more season and that she is not in top form and never will be again.

It’s too bad that Emma went with Chicago. We would be set if she were on this Mystics team.

Mystics on verge of elimination. Must win at Seattle on Sunday to bring the series to DC.

Huge missed opportunity in Game 1. An excellent high level playoff game.

Agree with your overall take. Big missed opportunity and a great playoff
game except for the late game miscues for the Mystics.

EDD was outstanding.

A couple missed bunnies...Austin is outstanding too but definitely has to improve
her FTs.

They got off too a great start but let them regroup by not protecting the ball well enough.

They showed they could win but their level of execution was just a smidge too low to
beat a very good team at home in a playoff game.

EDD was terrific.

Cloud and Atkins shat themselves at the end of Qtr4. Jewell Lloyd took them off the dribble repeatedly. Then worse...they started going one-on-one

EDD I wish were a SISTUH!

Her guards should have been cussed out

I love the way the Washington Mystics play defense!

Cloud is really nice man! Atkins missed that 3-point shot and I wish they had the rebound

The big girl who used to play for Maryland she hooped her ass off.
