Beal had like 17 in the 4th quarter against the Bucks but also had a pretty bad turnover at one point when the game was getting close.

In the game against the 76ers, he only only took six shots but also had 5 turnovers. I guess the Suns came away with a win - Allen had 32 points. Maxey only had 6 points so maybe the Suns were dialed in defensively. Oubre lead the 76ers with 18 points.

Orlando is 42-28, good for the 4th seed. They hit home runs with the Suggs and Wagner picks. Suggs is 22 years old, now a 40% 3pt shooter, averaging 17-4-4-2 on 60% TS, best defensive guard in the NBA. Wagner is 22 years old averaging 22-6-4 on 57% TS.

And Banchero 23-7-5 on 55% TS at 21 years old. I would’ve taken Holmgren, but Banchero has exploded. Anthony Black has had a solid rookie season. Jonathan Isaac is fully back to from and has been dominant.

That is a really good team with a very bright future. Won 5 in a row, 10 of their last 12, and 18 of their last 23 games. I don’t see why they can’t win a championship this year.

The thing I like about them is that they are winning despite one clear and obvious hole in the roster at guard. They should be able to address that weakness without impacting the strengths they have across the rest of the rotation. I also like that they are built on a defense first foundation. They should be able to maintain that for a while, but improve offensively as their young players improve.

I think Banchero has a another level he can get to eventually and become a true primary option scorer - a 2nd Team All-NBA type of guy. When that happens, they are a title contender. And Wagner will get better from 3-point range, which will also help.

Orlando's cap sheet is pristine. Isaac is on a non-guaranteed contract, so they either drop it, guarantee it and move it in a sign and trade for someone like Klay...IDK. Ingles has a club option.

Assuming they get rid of the cap holds, they're at $75 million in salaries, so $66 million in cap room. They have a first round pick this year, that kid's going to make like $3 million in the first year.

They can go a number of different routes, sign Klay to a 2 year deal at a max contract, go for someone younger like Buddy Hield but whatever they decide, they still have enough cap room to sign another major piece. With how good their defense is, they can hide Klay as well.

Rockets have won a bunch of games in a row and Jalen Green has been unbelievable. Also, Uncle Jeff is still around, and had this happen to him -

 Salute to those of us who were screaming to draft dropper Miles McBride on the night of Tommy's 2021 draft night debacle, McBride has blown-up and is locked-up on the cheap through the 26/27 on a descending contract.

Yesterday when OKC blew out the Suns I thought nothing of it so I didn't check the box score. Just found out they did it without SGA.

The Suns have to be one of the biggest disappointments of the season. This loss isn't as bad as losing to the Spurs without Wemby  but it's still a bad loss.

Sadly, the Clippers have put together a few good wins lately and have moved back up to the 26th pick. We need Milwaukee, New Orleans and Cleveland to make one last run.

Maryland alum Aaron Wiggins has played well for OKC in SGA's absence.

Brunson has become one of my favorite players. Currently watching his 61 pt game vs the Spurs. Epic stuff.

Just shows once again that skills/IQ can allow a player to excel in spite of physical limitations.

For every Jalen Brunson who makes it big there are probably at least five who don't for what it's worth.

Wiggins was a bottom of the 2nd round pick, there is always good to be found, we need to hit on late picks..

Yeah the West is stacked- The Suns are projected to win 48 games which would be 4 games below their preseason over unders. But teams like the Thunder, Timberwolves, Mavericks, and Sacramento Kings - so the Suns went from going from the 2nd most wins in the conference to 7th most. Compare that to last year where the Suns won 45 games yet finished with the 4th best record in the Conference.

Noah Clowney was an awesome pick by Brooklyn, and a very similar type of mold as Collin Murray-Boyles. Exploded tonight: 22 points 10 rebounds on 9 shots. 3-4 from 3, remember people claiming that his 3pt shot would never come around.

In the G-league he’s posted 20 points 9.2 rebounds 2.5 assists to 2.1 turnovers 1.0 steals 2.1 blocks with a 65% TS and 34% from 3.

Has now played 200+ minutes in the NBA as a 19 year old rookie and put up respectable numbers.

The other PFs:Jarace Walker and Taylor Hendricks go 8 and 9 overall in the same draft. Clowney looks like a steal at 21.

Curry has been one of my favorite players for years but even now he makes some of the dumbest turnovers you will ever see from a veteran. Doesn't he ever watch film of himself?
