My guess is Wizards got wind someone was trying to jump. I love this pick. I figured we would go forward/wing with also the guards we had.

Was the one guy I didn’t want to take that high but oh well. Just gotta hope he ends up blossoming these next few years.

Love this pick. Winger's best move by far.

It’s early but man do these guys enjoy making trades

On a serious note, our very own Kevin Broom had this kid at 5th on his YODA big board. So that’s good to know.

I am concerned that we took another wing player who is a poor shooter, but at-least he has crazy hops and has tons of upside, Tommy would approve of the Frenchman :D

It is the 2028 Wiz 2nd & 2028 Suns 2nd. I'm ok using both to take your guy.

My lord I love this kid I've been on his trail since he was expected to be a second rounder. He has shot up board and I'm so happy I was on the trail the entire time. Feels good that all that research didn't go to waste.

Yup I'm extremely happy. Haven't felt this way since I went to the Verizon Center for draft night and we picked Beal.

you couldn't have put that a better way

MPJ was also picked one spot ahead of Kelly Oubre Jr. Despite injury concerns, I was mad we didn't look to move up at the time.

Excellent pick. These guys have a plan. How refreshing.

Grunfeld/Shep never traded up. They always pretended after the fact that there were 3-4 guys that they liked, and the one they picked was the one they wanted all along.

Aggressive FOs like the Grizzlies trade up -- and they get their guy.

I like the fact that Winger and Dawkins had some conviction about who we wanted, and we went up and got our guy. Two future seconds (which I read to be not 2023) is a fine price to get the guy we want.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.
