I think the thing that bothers me the most about Poole is how lackadaisical
his on court demeanor is. It honestly looks to me like he absolutely doesn't
care about the game or its outcome.

If he's at or near the bottom, what conversation with the coach should take place? I assume the guy has some professional pride. Does he know he sucks? Is he interested in not sucking? If so, what would a good coach do to help him not suck?

Man, if I lived in the area I’d go to the game just to snag one of those. Would turn out to be the campiest, most ironic thing I own and would get more ridiculous year upon year. Ha! Brilliant! La Sooz must have made a cameo.

I think there should be a tank on that towel for our tank commander.

I got the Poole party hat already. Maybe I can add some tank stickers to it.

He's played better as of late . I don't think he's untradable.

Yes. He is.

Nobody wants him. He is probably the worst contract in the league. He has played a bit better, but he is not anywhere close to being a serviceable starter in this league despite his $30M a year contract. Heck, he's not even the best SG on this team and we're 7-36!

Agreed. Dawkins should be built an statue if he manages to trade Poole anywhere.

Most likely, they will see if a new head coach can rein in on Poole and make him play the right way.

Seems like the obvious next step is to bring him off the bench. That way his minutes can be limited without really affecting the rotations. If he is doing the right things, fine, play him 20 minutes. If not, then don't put him in in the second half and replace him with Butler. Limit the scope of his damage. Start Shamet and if he's not available, hell, start Johnny. As bad as he is, he isn't worse than Jordan.

I would just assume not play Jordan at all, but you have to give him some minutes in the slim hopes of building his value for a trade. But I think the reality is that we are stuck with him for at least this year, and probably next year as well.

If Poole were to get traded, it would be in one of two scenarios: (1) They attach an asset with him or (2) he's a part of a larger package of players as fodder.

Ultimately the Wizards are stuck with him.

I'd rather see Jared Butler in Poole's minutes. And prep him as an understudy in case Tyus gets traded for value.
