Yep.

Shows you what his actual value around the league was.

I've never ever been able to tell who will be good at QB in the NFL at who will not. Does anyone know a writer that they think is good at this? I keep going back and forth on Daniels or Maye depending on the scouting report. I feel like Daniels definitely has a higher floor.
Some scouts have Maye as the #1 QB in the draft, others have Maye as a "poor man's Mason Rudolph" which is terrifying. Daniels scouting reports always compare him to Hurts and Kyler Murray but much frailer and with less arm talent, but still fast as cr*p throwing a good deep ball hence a decent floor.

Frankly, even when I read about Caleb I think "if he's not Patrick Mahomes whoever drafts him could be screwed." I know situation obviously matters (poor Howell). Would love to know if there is a writer out there who has nailed this.

Chris Simms has been right more than he's been wrong. His track record:

2018
Lamar Jackson
Josh Allen
Baker Mayfield
Sam Darnold
Josh Rosen

2019
Kyler Murray
Drew Lock
Dwayne Haskins
Ryan Finley
Jarrett Stidham
Daniel Jones

2020
Joe Burrow
Justin Herbert
Jordan Love
Tua Tagovailoa

2021
Zach Wilson
Trevor Lawrence
Mac Jones
Kellen Mond
Justin Fields
Trey Lance

2022
Matt Corral
Kenny Pickett
Malik Willis
Sam Howell
Desmond Ridder

2023
CJ Stroud
Bryce Young
Hendon Hooker
Anthony Richardson
Will Levis (tied with Dorian Thompson-Robinson

So yeah, not perfect. 2022 2021 was a jumbled mess (maybe Covid helps explain some of this) but he had an eye for Sam Howell who went in the 5th round over Ridder who was a 3rd rounder. He did well to pick CJ over Bryce, and nailed the rest for the most part.

FWIW, his 2024 rankings are:
Caleb (tier 1 - class of his own)
Jayden Daniels (tier 2 - #1 in other years))
Bo Nix, Michael Penix Jr, and JJ (Tier 3 - starting-caliber qb)
Drake Maye (Tier 4 - Talented Project))

Thanks Pancakes, that does look decent until you get into the covid years. I hear Kurt Warner is good too but he does it all by video unfortunately. I could maybe see sitting Maye 1/2 of season, his processing is supposedly at least equal to Howell's who IMO wasn't that bad (until the end).

So we really need a QB, OT, Edge rushers, S, some bigger WR and maybe some depth at RB and LB. That's what I'm looking for in the draft.

So can we talk foot ball for a second. Not just commanders.

I was talking to a buddy.
We were debating speed vs size when it comes to WR. I think we are heading towards a era where bigger WR 6'2 and up with decent enough 40 times and heading away from the blazing speedsters 5-11 and under running wild 40 times.

Or we're heading towards an era of tall receivers WITH blazing speed.

Very possible. I mean MHJ runs in the 4.3 he's 6'4 . Puka runs a 4'5. Like I think if you can hit 4.5 or 4.4 and be over6'2 you're gonna get a look. I just don't know how much of a home these short speedsters will have out side of college .

Ja’Marr Chase is 6-0 and Justin Jefferson is 6-1. They are both young and arguably the two best receivers in the NFL —certainly in the top 5.

The #2 ranked receiver in the 2024 draft is Malik Nabers and he’s 6-0.

I'm having a really hard time finding film reviews that favor Maye over Daniels at this point.

Yeah it seems like the only things in Maye's favor are size and maybe arm strength. In terms of actually playing QB it seems like Daniels has a clear advantage.

I prefer Maye personally.

Much bigger arm and can make NFL throws, size with mobility.

Not to mention he's younger.
