I can see the Wizards being a top 5 team defensively...

I can't wait until midseason when we trade away anyone who will bring back a pick, a pick swap or a TPE. Don't want to root for wins or losses, just want to see a bunch of young guys playing hard. Already done with Poole.

It’d be fun to try and guess our offensive and defensive rankings as well. My guess is we have the 25th best offense and the 28th best defense

I know its the modern NBA and all, but 143 points to an average team on opening night is pathetic as hell.

Too late to revise my prediction to 3-79? Pain, then numbness, then delirium. Stages of Wizards fandom.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I just looked at some of the numbers and was surprised to see that the Wizards don't look as historically bad as they appeared just a couple of days ago. As it turns out, the Wizards have played an extremely hard schedule with 5 of 7 games on the road and having faced the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th best teams in the league going by SRS rating (Boston, Philly, Atlanta and Indiana respectively).

Going by SRS (schedule adjusted net rating), the Wizards rank 22nd, ahead of teams like Sacramento, the Lakers, Utah and Memphis. They also rank ahead of the other presumed cellar dwellers (Detroit, Portland, San Antonio, Charlotte). Even if you go by raw net rating, the Wizards are in a tie with the Lakers as the 27th worst team. The worst teams are actually quite a bit worse, with Utah having a net rating 2 points worse, and San Antonio having a net rating 5 points worse.

Shockingly, the Wizards now have 14th best offense in the league. They have the 28th best defense.

In terms of actual win percentage the Wizard are tied for 26th with Charlotte, and are ahead of Detroit, Utah and Memphis. So we legitimately are not the worst team in the league. :D

Ya know what really bothers me. Some of the NBA media.

For the last two eyarsm blow it up trade beal move on blah blah blah. Rebuild.

They do. They work out a pretty good trade considering his **** Beal had them.

Then every one shots on them for being bad.

Bills Simmons hade a good 2 minute **** fest on them and it's like y'all wanted this. It's barley November. Chill.

With 10 games in the books, your Washington Wizards are 2-10 with a .200 winning percentage and on track for a 16 win season. They are 14th in the east.

With an 18 win prediction - Pradamaster is the leader in the clubhouse.

The battle between Detroit and Washington looks to be epic.

My prediction of 27 looks really foolish.

I seriously doubt the .200 win% will last all season. Other teams will have injuries. Or they'll play us on a back-to-back. Or they'll rest starters late in the season. Also, I think the Wizards will eventually get that s*** together on defense and start at least looking like a professional ball club. They won't be good defensively, but they'll stop making so many mistakes with schemes and rotations.

I'm still okay with my 25-win prediction. If I got a mulligan and could change it right now, I'd probably go with 23 wins; but I'm not too worried that they will finish sub-20.

Well, we aren't threatening the 2012 Bobcats (7-59 in a strike shortened season, last in offense, last in defense). If our forwards were as bad as our guards, then we might.

I am right there with you at 27; there is still the chance that Poole will snap out of it, Wes figures out a new rotation, and we go on fake run during parts of the season.

With 20 games in the books, your Washington Wizards are 3-17 with a .150 winning percentage and on track for a 12 win season. They are 14th in the east.

With an 18 win prediction - Pradamaster is still the leader in the clubhouse.

The battle between Detroit and Washington still looks to be epic.

With 30 games in the books, your Washington Wizards are 5-25 with a .167 winning percentage and on track for a 13-win season. They are 14th in the east.

With an 18 win prediction - Pradamaster is still the leader in the clubhouse.

The battle between Detroit and Washington still looks not so epic now - Detroit is record setting bad. But then, a couple of 2 game winning streaks and they will pass the Wizards.

At the rate we are going, we may not see 15 wins! All of us look quite optimistic with our predictions.

This must be the most wrong this board has ever collectively been. Right now we're on pace for 14 wins. Lowest prediction was 18. Lots of reasons why, biggest must be that none of us thought that Poole would be this terrible (except maybe TGW)
