GT #61: Bullets @ Jazz 9 PM (MSN/980 AM)
YOUR Washington Bullets are 9-51!
Armed with the worst record in the NBA, the Bullets have also lost 14 in a row. The funniest thing could happen if this streak continues with a scenario where a 28 game losing streak, reached by the Pistons, could be broken against... Detroit.
But that's in the future. On Monday night, the squad is in Salt Lake City to face the Jazz. Utah was in the Play-In Tournament for much of the last couple months. But they seem to have pulled the plug on the season once again. They're 5 games back for the last play-in spot.
Let's keep streaking!

Oddly enough, have a hunch we'll get a win here tonight.

Poole making his first few shots is the most frustrating scenario for a game. We know how this game is going to look now. My turn your turn type offense.

This game is an example of the poor product the NBA is putting out, I certainly don’t enjoy a complete lack of effort on defense. I guess I’m old and NBA does not care if I watch.

Kispert with a bad day.. kuz defence is so baaa.. the bench did good for Poole.. Deni with 4 or 5 TO but the team looks different for good with him on court

I’d love Bilal to be more aggressive offensively. He defers too much to our chucking duo…

He has no offensive game. Can't make a layup....every shot gets blocked...Frichuela wrote:I’d love Bilal to be more aggressive offensively. He defers too much to our chucking duo…

Although he is playing on a bad team with Poole/Kuzma, I am really concerned about his limitations on offense, I am not seeing a basketball player out there.

The tank rolls on. With all the Jazz injuries i thought we might actually pull one out but no.
In other news the Bucks beat the Clipps without Giannis so our other pick is looking good.

Re: GT #61: Bullets @ Jazz 9 PM (MSN/980 AM)
I just don't understand the rationale behind keeping up this trend of just letting Poole and Kuzma try to chuck us to victory (which doesn't happen) when games are close.
Meh game all around though:
-Poole obviously was red hot to start the game and it was generally in the flow of the offense, but still takes a lot of low percentage shots, they just happened to go in tonight during the first half. After starting 8-8 finished, finished 3-10 with 1 rebound and 2 assists. Did get 2 steals and a block, though. Still the overdribbling, looking off teammates came back in the second half, you just always feel like even when he's shooting the ball out it's fool's gold.
-Kuzma chucked a lot but had 8 assist to only 1 turnover. Still constantly not trying on defense and takes so many bad shots out of the flow of the offense.
-Deni was pretty meh though I think his shooting numbers aren't as dreadful as they seem on paper with 5 tip shoots, 4 of which were misses. His turnovers were a problem tonight, and Collins got the better of him and swatted him at least 2-3 times. With that said, he rebounded well, and overall by the eye test the team played better when he was in because he at always gives effort on defense and is always keeping the ball moving. His +/- was positive right until the end, and was best amongst most players who played significant minutes.
-Bilal shouldn't be starting. Give Kispert the nod at this point, and let Bilal do his thing with the second unit. He's just completely lost on offense when he isn't doing a catch and shoot or cutting to the rim. We are doing him a disservice putting him out there as a starter for 30-33 minutes a game.
-Kispert was bad, not sure how he ended the game +6 for the evening. His shot wasn't falling (nor were they particularly good attempts) and he was just getting rag dolled on defense as per usual.
-Jones was solid and efficient, nothing really to complain about his game.
-Even when Davis shows little glimmers of good play, he ends up riding the pine for the rest of the game. Don't understand what the philosophy is here. I get he's shown little, but either play him some meaningful minutes or just throw the towel in.
