Personally I was glad to see Kispert finally getting starts, his play had deserved more minutes, Davis's had not. You have to show out in the time you have (or be a practice stud). That's why I've been pushing to see more Jared Butler all season; he played well in the G league, in garbage time, and now is getting rotation minutes and continuing to play well. Davis and Poole have indeed played much better here at the end and may have NBA careers after their current contracts run out; something which their prior play made unlikely. I wish him all the best.

Keefe should be fired

Last 5 games(90 minutes): 13.3 points 3.2 rebounds 2.4 assists 0.8 steals 0.4 blocks 0.8 turnovers 78.7% TS

Last 20 games(304 minutes): 10.0 points 4 rebounds 2.2 assists 0.7 steals 0.9 blocks 0.4 turnovers 56.3% TS

When they give him extended minutes, he starts to play a lot better. The only other month in which he actually got to play was November, per 36: 12.9 points 5.4 rebounds 1.7 assists 2.4 steals 0.3 blocks 1.0 turnovers. 54% TS

Proceeded to not play him in Dec-Feb. 130 minutes total in those 3 months.

I’m hoping he finds his way to a new team this offseason. Still expecting a Lu Dort/Alex Caruso/Alec Burks type of trajectory. He’s still younger than Kispert whenever he debuted with the Wizards.

To be fair, with the exception of the last 5 games (which was really just hot 3-point shooting in one game), those stats are really bad. Scoring with such a low efficiency on such a low volume is simply not NBA caliber production.

That’s not what “to be fair” means

But good point, if you take out the best 5 game stretch of the 20 game stretch, and also take his best single game of the 5 game stretch out, the 20 game stretch doesn’t look so good.
