play decently for this stretch of home games, decently enough
to at least hold on to 6th or maybe even creep up a little on 5th,
then Katie bar the door when Gil and Caron come back.
I'm feeling pretty confident that Gil will be back pretty soon.
He's been working out so he shouldn't be too far from playing.
Caron is anybody's guess but I think a couple more weeks off or
if necessary , the whole month of March, but he could easily be back
in time for us to make some noise.
The schedule looks daunting, but consider our opponents' schedules in March:
--Orlando off a back to back (Rapto's tonight)
--Wiz @ Toronto off a day of rest & an easy roadie. Wiz scheduled loss, rest your starters, EXCEPT Chris Bosh is out this week with a knee thing.
--next day home vs. Bobcats, also off a back to back (they're @ ATL the night before)
--Bucks
--Cavs off their 2nd night of a back to back roadie (Nets)
--Clippers (in tank mode?)
--Hawks 2nd night of back2back roadie (Knicks though --does that count?)
--@ ORL
--@Mia in full tank mode for months now and murmurs about DWade shutting it down
--home vs DET tho' they're off 3days rest (scheduled loss)
--@ Blazers (2nd night of their back to back)
--Next day, short flight to Seattle (in tank mode)
--@ SAC
--@ lakers (rested, blowout loss? rest starters?)
--@ Utah back to back, but so are they (tho' vs T'wolves)
Just saying there are a few winnable games in there. Only 3 back to backs, and mostly against other teams coming off back to backs. Or wounded.
So. If we can make it through March okay, and add in Gil as we go (according to Ivan he's cleared for full contact practice, just needs to build his stamina and confidence). Well then, nothing but starry nights, warm days, fuzzy puppies and roses.
