Idk, how you can call wizards championship contenders.....This will give them a 1st of 2nd round exit at best. You guys would have been better off, waiting and picking Rubio at the 5th pick, and rebuild the team. I seriously don't understand the Wizard's front office.

This assumes that Rubio wanted to come to Washington. Best info we have says that he didnt want to come here. That means we would get nothing for that #5 pick if we drafted him. So, the next thing to do was to try and trade the pick. No other team was going to give us a #5 (rather a lottery pick) in a future draft in exchange for Rubio. So, we had to try and get the best deal we could for that #5. Ended up being Foye+Miller.

And that assumes that the best thing to do was to trade the pick. Although Minny wanted an additional pick badly, we were the ones who looked more desperate by backing-down on insisting on their 18th pick, and by giving-up D-Song when we wanted to unload DeShawn. Folks were giddy on this board acting as-if we got-over on Minny, when the opposite is true.

Today's episode has been brought to you by the word "Assume." The complete and utter disregard of proof or evidence which allows one to postulate at will, his own self righteousness and loathing of other opinions which may or may not adhere to the same premise.

yeah we made the right move ... Rubio only wants to go to New York .. so we would of been stuck with new york trying to stick it to us .. just like Minny might end up getting jacked for Rubio

Not the Suns. We have Haywood, McGee and a big to be named.

We will be better defensively then people are giving up credit.

Flips Zone man D is going to work fine. We are deep enough that everyone can put more energy into playing D. With Haywood, Blatche, McGee, DMAC plus extras like Nick, we have enough players to play good D. Then add GA and CB stealing the ball. Foye can man up. Crit was a good defender.

We are not going to be a team that just looks to score and plays no D.

But that is probably unrealistic. So they were going to take two injuries players one with a long history of major injuries like eye sockets and heart surgery and another who is coming off back surgery and is a bit of a piece of work who most here have said is the worst starting 2 guard in the league. And for that they would give us their 18th and Miller and Foye.

Yeah, that would have been majorly getting over on them but just because we didn't get that dream deal doesn't mean they got over on us.

^^^^^^^
We made all of the concessions, Minny didn't. Minny got everything that they wanted, getting rid of Foye who their GM didn't like, using Miller's expiring along with Foye to get another high-pick...all while keeping their 18th pick....Now how they used their picks is another matter.

Hi Ernie. Please, tell us more about how this deal was negotiated.
