GROD Mocks

Post#1 » by getrichordie » Sun May 24, 2020 1:51 pm

Just going to use one thread for mocks from now on. Seems to make a lot of sense so as not to flood the board.

Without further ado, here's my latest iteration with ATL getting #1 and CHA moving up to #3

trades

1. SAC sends #12 + #35 + Barnes + Joseph to BOS for Hayward + #26 + #30 + #46
2. SAC sends #53 to OKC for cash considerations
3. PHI sends #59 to HOU for cash considerations

Spoiler:
01. atl — james wiseman [has capela but wiseman potential too much to pass up + edwards doesn't fit]
02. min — anthony edwards [big potential on D + bpa]
03. cha — lamelo ball [needs big but rozier nor graham are long-term answers + bpa; could unlock offense]
04. cle — devin vassell [has guards in spades; georgia-born vassell pairs well on wing with georgia-born sexton]
05. gsw — onyeka okongwu [could use a healthy big who can take advantage of space; okongwu fits that]
06. det — killian hayes [hali is tempting but hayes wins out here due to being better projected initiator; special flashes]
07. nyk — cole anthony [projects to be better playmaker in NBA space and 3-level scorer at next level; pairs well with RJ]
08. chi — tyrese haliburton [needs point/wing and hali slots in well next to lavine; can help unlock offense]
09. was — deni avdija [high ceiling; needs wing + D; bertans set to be UFA]
10. phx — r.j. hampton [no big need for wing; need rubio successor; combo-guard works here next to booker]
11. sas — isaac okoro [short on wings w/ dd in final year; spurs historically value defense]
12. bos — aaron nesmith [needs off-ball shooter to pair with core and to develop langford]
13. nop — obi toppin [w/ favors out, this selection provides a big + tantalizing lineup possibilities]
14. por — paul reed [clear need for a 4 + needs D; reed is the guy]
--end of lottery--
15. orl — kira lewis jr. [doesn't let fultz stop them from getting high-upside guy at position that has been need for long time]
16. min — aleksej pokusevski [no need to rush; potential of pokusevski + towns front court is too much to pass on]
17. sac — josh green [could use some 2-guard depth and green provides 3&D stuff]
18. dal — theo maledon [w/ barea gone and looking to move on from wright, maledon fits nicely next to luka]
19. mke — jahmi'us ramsey [doesn't look great behind divincenzo long-term; reach for ramsey to provide spacing]
20. bkn — leandro bolmaro [can never have enough wings or depth; bolmaro provides ball-handling + D + some 3]
21. den — saddiq bey [adding a 3 that can space the floor can't hurt things in denver]
22. phi — grant riller [needs win now players and riller can be a 6th man who can shoot from deep + lead 2nd unit]
23. mia — tyrese maxey [w/ dragic situation, maxey gives MIA upside play on a scoring point archetype]
24. uta — patrick williams [need for a 4 and williams is raw but has big upside and is youngest college player in draft]
25. okc — jaden mcdaniels [needs wings; high-ceiling, long, athletic wing who has shown flashes]
26. sac — malachi flynn [need for backup point; flynn can lead 2nd unit]
27. nyk — robert woodard II [never hurts to add a 3&D wing; could pair well with anthony and barrett]
28. tor — precious achiuwa [gets a *big* time athlete who can learn under ibaka]
29. lal — tre jones [needs point; gets the steady hand to pair with lbj and ad]
30. sac — jalen smith [needs big w/ len potentially walking and no one behind holmes]
---
31. dal — xavier tillman sr. [floor spacing big who can facilitate next to doncic and kp has serious potential]
32. cha — isaiah stewart [needs big; stewart is big time athlete who can be a presence down low]
33. min — tyler bey [needs defense at the 4; bey fits that]
34. phi — corey kispert [needs spacing; kispert fits and can play 3+4]
35. bos — vernon carey jr. [has clear need for a big and carey has to work to do but has upside]
36. phi — killian tillie [needs spacing; tillie can be a stretch 5 or stretch 4 next to embiid if healthy]
37. was — devon dotson [could use a point and dotson is arguably bpa]
38. nyk — nate hinton [needs 2-guards and hinton is a hustler in 3&D mold]
39. nop — desmond bane [could use depth in form of 3&D ball-handler]
40. mem — paul eboua [eboua provides both upside and depth and could be future defensive cog]
41. sas — reggie perry [has need for big and perry looks like aldridge-lite at times]
42. nop — nico mannion [could use ball-handling depth behind lonzo and ingram]
43. sac — isaiah joe [adds another floor spacer]
44. por — daniel oturu [adds insurance for nurkic and collins]
45. orl — jay scrubb [adds guard depth in form of good athlete]
46. sac — ayo dosunmu [upside play/guard depth]
47. chi — saben lee [adds point guard depth]
48. gsw — jalen crutcher [adds point guard depth]
49. phi — mason jones [adds another floor spacer]
50. ind — cj elleby [adds much-needed wing depth]
51. okc — jalen harris [adds guard depth with 6th man upside]
52. atl — cassius winston [adds trusty point to play behind ice trae]
53. okc — udoka azubuike [adds a bruising big to set screens for guards, learn under Adams]
54. gsw — cassius stanley [adds wing depth]
55. bkn — nick richards [adds big depth]
56. cha — elijah hughes [adds wing project]
57. lac — sam merrill [adds a floor spacer/ball-handler]
58. tor — derrick alston jr. [adds huge project wing who can shoot 3s]
59. hou — trevelin queen [gets a 3&D prospect to add to Moreyball]
60. nop — skylar mays [gets lsu guy for ticket sales]
