EvanZ's Big Board/Mock

Post#1 » by EvanZ » Thu May 18, 2023 6:28 pm

Finally starting to put a board together. These are the picks I'd make at each slot, not what I'm predicting teams do. I am taking into account fit to some extent.

Version 2 - May 19

Code: Select all

Pick   II   Team   ||   My Pick
1   II   San Antonio   ||   Victor Wembanyama
2   II   Charlotte   ||   Brandon Miller
3   II   Portland   ||   Scoot Henderson
4   II   Houston   ||   Taylor Hendricks
5   II   Detroit   ||   Gradey Dick
6   II   Orlando   ||   Cason Wallace
7   II   Indiana   ||   Leonard Miller
8   II   Washington   ||   Jett Howard
9   II   Utah   ||   Anthony Black
10   II   Dallas   ||   Dereck Lively
11   II   Orlando   ||   Jarace Walker
12   II   OKC   ||   Ausar Thompson
13   II   Toronto   ||   Amen Thompson
14   II   New Orleans   ||   Keyonte George
15   II   Atlanta    ||   Cam Whitmore
16   II   Utah   ||   Brice Sensabaugh
17   II   LAL   ||   Jalen Hood-Schifino
18   II   Miami   ||   Brandin Podziemski
19   II   GSW   ||   Mo Gueye
20   II   Houston   ||   Kris Murray
21   II   BKN   ||   Nick Smith Jr
22   II   BKN   ||   Kobe Bufkin
23   II   Portland   ||   Jaime Jaquez
24   II   Sacramento   ||   Trayce Jackson-Davis
25   II   Memphis   ||   Amari Bailey
26   II   Indiana   ||   Jordan Hawkins
27   II   Charlotte   ||   Terquavion Smith
28   II   Utah   ||   Noah Clowney
29   II   Indiana   ||   GG Jackson
30   II   LA Clippers   ||   Zach Edey
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

You read that correctly yet. As of today that's who I have there.

Who do you project him to be? Is Khris Middleton close comparison?

I don’t see Middleton as a comp. Think he’s more like a Korver or Bogdanovic.

I like that it's very different from a lot of the consensus. I like Howard quite a bit and wonder if the difference between him and Dick + Hawkins as a shooter isn't that big. What else are you seeing that has him this high?

I just think at his size he's one of the most skilled guys in the class. As I watched him over the season I thought he actually improved a bit on defense too.

When you say Mo Gueye for the Warriors, do you mean the WSU kid, or the 24 year old G League dude? The latter seems more like a Kerr guy.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Haha dammit actually like this board more than most.

Seems like Wallace is a great fit/solid pro. Thompsons seem sketchy. TJD and Jacquez are a couple guys I like for Boston at 35 that prob don’t get there.

Lol the Washington State kid. Hey maybe Klay can vouch for him.

Why do you have Jett Howard so much higher than Jordan Hawkins.
