Keeper League

Post#1 » by makegreatpets » Sat Apr 6, 2013 3:28 pm

Season's starting to wrap up. Trying to decide my keepers. It's a pretty competitive head-to-head league, 8 categories, no turnovers. Also no util spots. I've already got 3 keepers nailed down and trying to figure out my fourth. My three keepers are Durant, Marc Gasol and Tony Parker. The two I'm trying to decide between Jeff Green and Jeremy Lin. I think Lin still has some upside and even without it, he's a decent source for 3s, steals and assists. Jeff Green gets all across the board contributions, but he's in and out of the starting lineup and there's a significant different between his numbers from when he starts or comes off the bench. Also, Green has played well over a pretty limited sample size. Not great options, but it's the two I have. So who should I keep?

Definitely Jeff Green. KG keeps getting older and Green will play consistent big minutes next year. He is efficient and contributes to all categories. I know PG's who get decent assist numbers are hard to come by but there are enough that you should be able to do without Lin.

Out of those 2 Green for sure. I'm not 100% sold on him but Lin seems locked into mid-round value which is alright but not ideal for a keeper. Green's upside is definitely higher. Any other options?

Omer Asik is an option. I wouldn't really be able to use him since Marc Gasol would be taking up the center spot most weeks as long as he's healthy. I'd have to try to trade Omer, but trading in my league is kind of a pain in the butt if you want to get fair value.
