Dalembert/Bogut for Yao?

Post#1 » by WhiteLarryBird » Sat Jan 12, 2008 3:18 pm

Standard 12-team roto league.

I give
Samuel Dalembert
Andrew Bogut

I receive
Yao Ming
Beno Udrih

Here's my team:
PG Rafer Alston (Hou - PG)
SG Mike Miller (Mem - SG,SF)
G Jose Calderon (Tor - PG)
SF Kevin Garnett (Bos - SF,PF)
PF Sean Williams (NJ - PF,C)
F Caron Butler (Was - SF)
C Andrew Bogut (Mil - C)
C Samuel Dalembert (Phi - C)
Util Andrea Bargnani (Tor - SF,PF,C)
Util John Salmons (Sac - SG,SF)
BN Baron Davis (GS - PG)
BN Wally Szczerbiak (Sea - SG,SF)
BN Luol Deng (Chi - SG,SF) INJ

Throwing stats/injuries aside, this looks like a steal, since I do acquire a superstar for 2 fringe double double centers. But I'm not completely sure.

The stat I gain the most in is assists. I'm currently tied for first in the league. I have a pretty comfortable(>100) lead in assists over the next person in the league.

I'd also gain 10 more points a game. I'm in 4th place in points, about 70 behind the third place guy.

I'd be losing blocks and rebounds. Right now, I'm 3rd/4th in those categories, but it's really tight both ahead of me(70 rebs/6 blks ahead) and behind me(65 rebs/8blks behind) in those two categories.

Also, Beno's playing time/stats will suffer once Bibby/Martin return, even if he is starting, and Yao Ming has missed 25+ games both last year and the year before...

Am I overthinking this? Should I accept it? Thanks.

Udrih becomes an afterthought soon enough (Bibby returns), however I still like it for you.

And with Yao's injuries - they were freak injuries, not anything chronic
