BIG Trade: Granger/Barbosa/Blatche/Beasley for Deron/JET/Azu

Post#1 » by jorgo » Tue Nov 10, 2009 6:36 pm

My team is last in assists, and this other guy is loaded with assists.

We're trying to work out a deal with the base being my Granger for his Deron.

This is 8 cat, Roto Keeper league (5 players kept). 12 starters (pg,sg,g,g,sf,pf,f,f,c,c,ut,ut)

I've offered: Granger, Barbosa, Beasley, Blatche for Deron, Jason Terry, Azubuike.

Is that fair? or would I be screwing him there?

Other players of mine that won't leave me with huge gaps:
Jonny Flynn, Harrington, Mike Miller, Anthony Parker

Other players of his that I'd be interested in:
Diaw, Okur, Hughes, Kidd.

Roto or H2H? Scoring Categories? Number of teams, starters, positions, etc.?

I wouldn't say you're screwing him over, but it's definitely a trade in your favor. Jason Terry is significantly better than everyone in the deal not named Deron Williams or Danny Granger. I like the deal for you.

Do you think Granger+Blatche for Deron+Azubuike is still a win for me?

What about subbing in Beasley instead of Blatche?

I like Azubuike, because he'll get a lot of minutes should S-Jax be traded (I guess it is dependent upon who GSW get back)

What is the rest of your roster?

Who else is on the other guys roster?

Personally, I think that you're giving up a lot to get Deron....but I'd have to see who else is on yours and the opposing GMs roster to see if something else can be had.

I noticed that you don't have as many true PFs that play in the Low-Post nor many legit Centers that score close to the basket. IMHO...if you want to try to improve your FG%.....a quick and easy way for me to do that is to get more Low-Post scoring Players at the PF/C spots that usually shoot at at 50%

Personally, I'd see if you can get away with a Granger+Barbosa+Blatche offer for Deron+Haslem+AZU. I'm not too impressed by Jason Terry's Assist #s and don't think that he's worth it unless you need some help with Steals. You get the best PG in the deal...and get 2 players gets some solid minutes that should improve your FG% stat.

I think my FG% will be right once Crash returns to his career FG%. My guards aren't chuckers, so their %s are good.

If I lose Granger and get Williams, that's a FG% boost right there.

I doubt Haslem would get a run, and I need Barbosa's threes.

If he knocks the current offer back, I'll try just Granger+Blatche(or Beasley) for Deron+Azu.

I forgot I had offered Blatche for Raymond Felton. After Blatche started tonight, the guy took the deal.

So I've now got an extra point guard, yet still not much closer to closing the gap on assists. FG% not looking bright either.

Granger and Felton perhaps for Deron and Azu. Will see when this trade clears.

I think that you're overpaying. Just like Crash.... Granger will do much better later while you are losing Felton who would help you in Assists. I'd try to get someone better then AZU if you want to give up Felton....or go with a Granger+Barbosa for Deron+Azu and keep Felton so that you can have 3 solid PGs on your roster to help your Assist #s.

you're selling low on Granger... my 1st instinct when I saw this was no deal. I personally won't trade my number 1 pick for anyone who came later in the draft... As a rule I only trade up. Try and put together a package involving Granger and Paul once Granger gets back on track. I'd either do that or put together a smaller package for Kidd.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I'll see how things pan out over the next week or so.

With Granger, I'm a little concerned about his heel. Those injuries don't heal without rest, so I am expecting him to take a long spell on the sidelines at some point.

I like Azubuike because if S-Jax finally gets traded, his value will go up to being a top 70 player.

I don't think the CP3 owner would trade him unless the deal was practically two first rounders.
