Shaun Livingston - 8 or 9 years in the league?

Post#1 » by Garf » Mon Sep 23, 2013 7:09 am

Coon's Q16 says "a player is credited with a year of service for each season in which he is on a team's active list or inactive list for at least one day during the regular season" and I think you're on the inactive list when injured.

Storytellerscontracts.com confirms this ($1,272,279 minimum).

However, e.g. NBA.com and Fantrax have him as an 8-year vet. Why?

NBA.com isn't exclusively run by, or for, people interested in CBA minutiae. They tell people what they think they need to hear. Greg Oden is a five year vet on this basis, yet because he's only played in two of those seasons, they're going to call him a two year vet on the website and the telecasts, because it's easier.

Yes, welcome to the board Mr. Deeks. I'm surprised that you never posted here before.

Are you still with Worldwide Wes, or have you moved on to Jay Z?
