Hawks To Sign Austin Daye To Multi-Year Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Apr 3, 2015 11:14 pm

The Atlanta Hawks plan on signing Austin Daye to a multi-year contract.

Daye's second 10-day contract expired on Friday.

“Austin has done really well and we feel good about having him with us,” Mike Budenholzer said following practice Friday afternoon. “We’ll have to make a decision. I would say he’s in a very good place.”

Daye is averaging 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.6 minutes. He also appeared in 26 games with the Spurs earlier this season.

This is surprising. I wonder how many years. I thought he was done to be honest.

Bud likes Pop's scraps, I guess. I think most Spurs fans were happy to see him go, even as an end of the bench guy he wasn't consistently doing the simple **** expected of him (like maybe hit some of those open threes??).
Cool dude tho.

I seriously wonder if he has psychological problems. He always looks scared in every picture, especially on the floor.

The dude's still got some potential, glad he got another shot. With that being said, he better make the most of it otherwise this'll probably be his last shot.

He is a decent person to meet off of the floor. Once in a game though he thinks too much, and tries too hard. He did the same thing in Detroit. Maybe having a contract for next year will help him relax and focus on the game for the Hawks.

I think by multi year they mean the one where it's team option each year just in case he finally breaks out ala goatside
