Prospective Kings' Owner Interested In Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis has yet to decide if he will opt out of his $11 million deal for the 13-14 NBA season, but he could have one potential suitor in the Sacramento Kings.

A member of the Kings' prospective ownership group has worked on a background check on Ellis as a potential player to sign if Tyreke Evans departs in the offseason.

Evans will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.

Ellis would be the perfect addition for the Kings to continue with their ineffeicient and poor defense losing ways. And of course Herb Kohl is foolish enough to overpay Redick and bring in a guy like Tyreke to replace Ellis.

blah i actually thought Monta Ellis was another type of player. Mark Jackson traded him for a reason, good talent but no discipline whatsoever. He can do the Vince Carter role under Rick Carlisle maybe playing with Notwisky can help
