LaMarcus Aldridge Wants Trade From Blazers, Deems Portland Too Small

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jun 27, 2013 6:08 am

LaMarcus Aldridge has wanted out of Portland since the last week of the Trail Blazers' season and did not resign sponsorship deals in Portland this past year, including agreements with Cadillac, Chevy, and Providence Hospital while asking to get out of a lease on his Pearl District condo.

Aldridge tried to put a clause into his lease that he will not have to pay penalties if he was traded.

“This is why I hate being in Portland,’’ Aldridge said during the last week of the season. “You can’t do anything.’’

According to the report, Aldridge would not only welcome a trade from the Blazers, but he hopes for one, believing the city is too boring and small.

Neil Olshey said he sympathized with the constant change Aldridge has gone through with the Blazers, but the GM was adamant he would not be shopping the All-Star forward.

“Well, I’ll tell you this: I’m not going to be making any phone calls to move him,’’ Olshey said. “But if the phone rings and it makes the team better ...’’

sounds like a guy who will never win a damn thing

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

People should know that the article is written by a prodding hack. The quotes here are taken out of context.
There is no proof that Aldridge claims the city as small and boring, it's all presumptuous and absurd speculation based on the crazed mind of the writer...
Being a Blazer fan isn't exactly healthy.

This makes Aldridge sound like such a jerk that I have to question whether this is true, or the reporter is a muckraker taking things out of context.

...Read the whole article people... this headline and article are taken completely out of context. RealGM should not be blasting this headline like this. Doesn't seem to be the real case. I'm an inpartial Magic fan viewing this from the outside. Just seems like Lamarcus wants to win. Doesn't hate the city. He hates the reporter.

Yeah, reading the actual article helps portray just how stupid an article, and news headline, this is. The summary in the OP takes things almost completely out of context.
Good Lord, the little stoner's got a point.

“I’m fine. Like I said, it was a tough season, but I’m not trying to jump ship. We will sit down and we will talk about who we are going to bring in, and what things will happen and we will go from there.’’

This reporter's a clown...He's trying to antagonize Aldridge into saying something. This is why so many people in the NBA hate the media

Aldridge wants out. Cleveland is willing to trade a lot of assets for an established big man.

This sounds like absolutely perfect timing for the Blazers to get away from a problem before it gets out of hand and get overcompensated in the process yet they're stubbornly holding on.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Lamarcus Aldridge has been there for years man, since when Brandon Roy had knees, he served his time being loyal would you want to stay at a job where you and the business didn't prevail or move on to something?
