Mouhammadou Jaiteh Decides Not To Enter NBA Draft

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Apr 22, 2014 3:53 am

After intending to declare for the NBA, French center Mouhammadou Jaiteh won’t formally enter his name in the June Draft, a source told RealGM.

Jaiteh had been gauging feedback from the NBA, but the 6-foot-10 prospect ultimately decided to forgo the draft. Jaiteh will likely re-sign in France’s ProA league to continue his development.

RealGM reported on March 25 that Jaiteh would declare for the draft. The 19-year-old also entered the draft process a year ago before pulling out in the weeks before the 60 selections.

Jaiteh averaged 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds with JSF Nanterre this season.

seen him in Euroleague this season, he has a long way to go. And he should atleast aim the entrance as borderline late 1st rounder.. Smart call.

Note to Mouhammadou: when you pull out of the draft the year before, make best efforts to average more than 6ppg before thinking of throwing your hat back in the ring.

Luckily scouts don't rate Young players based on their statistics.
Jaiteh played professionnally this year so you can't compare to guys who played in the NCAA against people their own age.

Even if it's not a huge difference, he's not at 5.4 and 3.9 but at 6.3 pts and 4.2 rbd... in 16min/game
