LeBron To Meet With Wade, Bosh Ahead Of Decision

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 17, 2014 10:48 pm

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will soon have a conversation about their future together with the Miami Heat. All three players have the option of becoming free agents.

"We've earned that for each other," said James.

James has won two championships and have appeared in two additional ones during his four seasons with the Heat.

"I understand what this team, this franchise, brings to the table."

James' approach to his 2014 free agency will be far different from what happened in 2010.

"The decision comes down to me and my family, at the end of the day. If my family is happy, I'm happy."

James acknowledged that the Heat need to improve.

"We have some holes that need to be filled."

The Decision part 2, a special 1 hour segment on ESPN, all 3 players announcing where they are taking their talents, or what's left of it for some of them.

"James has won two championships and have appeared in two additional ones during his four seasons with the Heat."

That sentence makes no sense.

Championships meaning championship series. Won 2, played in 2 more.

they're not going to discuss leaving, they're going to discuss what needs to happen for the heat for the immediate future

I was commenting on the grammar; I understood from context clues what the author meant.

If the Spurs have shown us anything in the NBA Finals, it is that a deep bench of young energetic players matter. So, instead of pursuing Melo, Pat Riley should spend his dollar wisely and sign a backcourt and a bench of young two-way talents. The only holdovers I want from 2013/14 are the Big 3, Norris Cole, Greg Oden, Justin Hamilton and James Ennis. Maybe Udonis Haslem too.

Pat Riley is cookin' something up already behind the scenes - they will need an upgrade over Chamlers, Andersen and Rashard Lewis/Battier (who is retiring) in order to be relevant again.

Infuse the team with some young talent willing to work their a$$ off - keep Ray Ray coming off the bench as the veteran presence. They should be just fine.

I honestly think they'll be back, I think Wade will take a pay cut and resign to a different role.

I think everything rides on Dwayne Wade. If he wants that $42 million over next 2 years with respective player options, the Heat are screwed as Bosh will I'm sure follow suit leaving the Heat with next to no flexibility.

If Wade can be convinced to sign like a 5 year, $60 million contract then it gives the Heat flexibility to offer James and Bosh a competitive contracts with cap flexibility

Maybe Heat can reach out to Rockets and inquiry about Lin. Probably can get him free + some. Yes, he is 8 mil cap. But he can lead the 2nd units when LeBron and Wade are taking a break. Lin is unselfish pass first guard and can step up when require.

In my eyes there was nothing ever wrong with 'The Decision' the first time as James was already a proven superstar. I am looking forward to the new decision coming up.

Wade's altruism is well documented. Wade knows he's not the player he once was and wants to win more titles. I wouldn't be surprised to see all three opt out, take less money, and solidify Miami's supporting cast. Whatever money these guys aren't getting paid by opting out and taking less money, they'll make up with no state income tax and endorsements.

However, Wade may feel that he is entitled to the money after helping to bring Bosh and LeBron to Miami. I'm excited to see what happens.
