Gustavo Ayon Receives Formal Offer From Spurs

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Sep 17, 2014 5:59 pm

Gustavo Ayon has received a formal offer from the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell RealGM.

Shandong of the Chinese Basketball Association has also presented a formal offer to Ayon, sources confirm to RealGM.

Ayon has previously received offers in Europe, though the language of the contract concerning an NBA out held up an agreement being reached.

Ayon is now deciding between three formal offers.

Ayon spent last season with the Atlanta Hawks.

Spurs coaching staff and their system is legendary... Don't underestimate how they can make any given player very productive

I agree. They dont need more skilled finesse guys. They need a bruiser like Baynes to balance out their roster.

I want Ayon for my rockets!
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

Totally stun he got an offer from the Spurs, but you certainly can't doubt them. Best team in sports the last 16 years.

Dont see why its such a shock. A big man who can shoot and pass, has a decent post game and plays hard on both ends. Sounds like a perfect Spurs guy.

LOL my initial thought when I read this article was what the hell... did the Spurs not watch the World Cup game where Baynes went head to head with Ayon and destroyed him? This is a very un-Spurs like decision.

This is the third story on this guy on Real GM in the last two weeks. Not much happening around the league and they are stuck informing us about a 11th or 12th man.
