Joel Embiid Cleared For 5-On-5 Scrimmage

Joel Embiid has been cleared to start scrimmaging in five-on-five settings.


Embiid has missed his first two NBA seasons after being drafted third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014.


The soundness of his problematic right foot should continue to allow him to begin preparations for next season.


Embiid is expected to travel to Las Vegas for the 76ers’ entry in the summer league in July but only to practice with the team, but is not expected to participate.

He hasnt played a single game of basketball in two years, let alone a professional game. He'll likely have rust on top of rust.

I'm very happy that he can do 5-on-5 now. Hopefully, he doesn't have any set backs. I wanted to see how he can be an impact to the league.
