Jahlil Okafor Rejoins 76ers After Trade Fails To Materialize

The Philadelphia 76ers shelved Jahlil Okafor in order to create the best trade offer possible leading to the All-Star break, league sources speculate.

The 76ers and New Orleans Pelicans have been in talks but have stalled.

The Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers and Chicago Bulls likely aren't interested in Okafor.

According to Jessica Camerato of Comcast, Okafor has rejoined the 76ers for their final game before the break. Camerato reports Philadelphia was close to trading Okafor and that is why he was held out of two games.

If its true that NO is the only suitor, then it makes sense to wait until the draft and see whether NO's pick will be higher than Philly's. If Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid come back and Philly wins "too many games", they should trade Okafor to NO then to move up a couple spots.

Doug McDermott for Okafor would be a fair trade. Both player can score but don't do anything else well.

they should keep okafor and trade embiid or simmons or nerlens...those guys have had a major injury. i am skeptical about their health long term. im more optimistic about nerlens going forward healthwise than simmons or embiid.
