Sixers Plan To File Grievance With NBA Over Officiating In First Two Games At Knicks

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Apr 23, 2024 3:19 am

The Philadelphia 76ers plan to file a grievance with the NBA over the officiating across the first two games of their first round series against the New York Knicks, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

The Sixers trail New York 0-2 after the first two games.

New York was trailing Philadelphia by five points with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game when Jalen Brunson bounced in a three-pointer. Josh Hart then stole the ball from Tyrese Maxey with ball eventually finding its way to Donte DiVincenzo who missed a three-pointer, but Isaiah Hartenstein collected the offensive rebound, passed it to OG Anuonby who then found DiVincenzo for a three-pointer to go up by one.

Nick Nurse claimed he was trying to call timeout before Maxey had the ball stolen to begin the sequence.

Joel Embiid described the officiating at the end of the game as "[expletive] unacceptable."

:lol:

Nurse lying about calling a timeout, he couldn't since they didn't have possession cause he called it too late and now bold face lying about it and going to the league yikes.

No wonder this 76ers team always chokes in the playoffs, no accountability

The Knicks last nba championship was in the 70's. The sixers and knicks are pretty much in the same boat here.

They should be careful. Maxey has been enjoying the priority line when traveling and he’s always going unchecked. Let sleeping dogs lie.

This is so surprising, as Nurse never complains about anything. 8-)

Nurse choked the game away. He never actually called the timeout, until it was too late. First, he uses a closed fist and then pulls his hands back quickly. Here's proof:

Oh please, the Sixers were hand checking and bumping Brunson to death without getting calls. Don't see the Knicks protesting it do you?

How are the Knicks are up 2-0 ( Despite Brunson shooting 29%fg and 16% from three )

Game 1 :
* Knicks outrebounded the Sixers by a whopping 22 boards ( 55 to 33 )
* Knicks shot 46% from three ( to Sixers 34% )

Game 2 :
* Knicks scored 40pts in the paint ( to Sixers 28 )

@ the end of the Day -- when Sixers stars are BOTH averaging 30+ppg and they still can not pull out a victory, you can not put the onus on the Refs.

Embiid is averaging : 31ppg 9rpg 6apg ( shooting only 39% fg and 23% three & yes, he is hobbled )
Maxey is averaging : 34.4ppg 5.5rpg 7apg ( shooting a blistering 54% fg and 40% from three )
