The final spot in the Indians' starting rotation has been narrowed to two candidates, according to an MLB.com report.
The club optioned Trevor Bauer and Corey Kluber to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday, leaving Scott Kazmir and Carlos Carrasco as the remaining competitors for the fifth rotation slot.
The Indians also optioned reliever Scott Barnes to Columbus and reassigned Giovanni Soto to Minor League camp on Thursday.
