A\'s To Play Next Three Seasons In West Sacramento

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Apr 4, 2024 3:21 pm

The Athletics will spend the next three seasons playing at a minor league ballpark in West Sacramento before their planned move to Las Vegas for the 2028 season.

The team announced Thursday that it would play at Sutter Health Park -- the home of the Sacramento River Cats, the San Francisco Giants\' Triple-A affiliate -- for the 2025 to 2027 seasons. The agreement includes an option year to play in Sacramento in 2028, should their new stadium in Las Vegas not be ready by then.

Well good. Now if something can be done to make the owner sell the team. Maybe even stay in sacramento since vegas doesn't really want them. Oakland got more serious problems to solve in that city besides having no sports teams whatsoever. And why does frisco have any compassion for oakland, they part of the reason the a's are in this mess. Having the san jose territory rights, EVEN THOUGH...oakland is closer to san jose than frisco is. I'd understand if the a's wanted to move to palo alto.
