I didn't expect the team to do so well with ticket sales. Hopefully the excitement doesn't die down next year. Winning will definitely help our case.

Brek hasn't really impressed me from what I've seen, but I have not seen enough

Tonight's preseason game will be a great preview of game one for both Orlando & New York.

The game was pretty good for a meaningless game. Kaka's goal was very crafty and a great sight to see. Rochez almost scored on a tremendous individual effort and Casio's near goal was also a nice strike that just missed.

I assume both coaches kept it pretty vanilla leading up to the regular season opener.

Orlando City Names Kaká Team Captain

Orlando City Soccer Club today announced it has named midfielder and 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year Kaká the team captain as the Lions prepare for the start of their inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) season. The Club opens MLS play against fellow newcomers New York City FC Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. ET at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.

“Kaká has demonstrated great leadership both on the field and in the locker room since the start, and the other players have naturally looked to his guidance throughout preseason so he was the natural pick to skipper the club,” said Head Coach Adrian Heath. “Ricky’s role will extend off the pitch as well, serving as the team’s liaison with the front office and coaching staff on all player-related concerns to ensure we provide the best possible environment for the players to train, develop and succeed personally and professionally.”

They are not meeting again until Sunday.

Leaving this really last minute, which means to me that they will likely strike.

I really hate this CBA issues of American sports. This doesn't seem to happen in other leagues.

That's one of the reasons why it won't compare to Europe. How will you lure the best players if you have salary cap and etc?

When has North America ever settled for not having the best when it comes to sports?

It's building slowly, but someday I feel the MLS cap will be high enough to compete with every team from around the world.

Orlando City Soccer fever is truly here in Central Florida.

I see those little bumper stickers everywhere.

They easily outnumber The Magic. It is amazing how this town which used to be a one sport town which many minor league failures has now become a two professional team town.

i hope this week I can start to get excited but I just don't think were getting going without some work stoppage. Not trying to be a downer but I would expect the next couple days to bring some bad news. I hope they don't take us to the brink and pull the rug out.

Its pretty amazing to see this local team grow so fast, management has been amazing.

I wonder if tickets are sold out for the inaugural game? No more tix on ticket master and even the Pub Crawl event dosnt give you a ticket voucher.

Couple of questions.
When is the first home game?
Can I get a ticket for $20 bucks?
any Colombian players on our Team?

-Sunday March 8th

-perhaps, as of a few days ago they had $22 upperbowl tickets but they are selling fast. I heard they could be gone.

-there are several Colombian players on the team.

-what took you so long to get on board? :)

Game is officially sold out. 60,000 plus will be in attendance! Just hope they get to play the game because that would be a big blow with all this positive momentum.
