MLS in Charlotte?

If Charlotte is awarded a major league soccer team should they have their own soccer specific stadium or share a stadium with the NFL’s Carolina panthers because their stadium will have to go through major upgrades unless it would be better to build a new one. Carolina’s NFL stadium is quite old. So is it more expensive to upgrade or build a future venue?

Apparently the plan is to build something like what they did in Atlanta within the next 10 years. If they have the support for it then I think it will be ok. The owner is passionate about the sport and has wanted a team so that is a good sign for the new team.
