I'm pretty sure Brink has already had modelling jobs? LA is going to have a quick rebuild with Brink and Jackson and probably a high pick next year.

Oh okay I was about to say. She's better be getting those offers

Yep. That's a solid foundation. Trading Nneka was the right move for LA.

I’m from NYC but I’m all in on the Sky.

Kamilla and Angel is going to be crazy.

The comments about Puoch (needs work but already plays with and against WNBA players in the Australian pro league) vs Borlase amazes me.

I get Puoch as a long term prospect, but Puoch benchwarmed in the finals, while Borlase was team MVP and scored 16 PPG, as well as making the National team.

No dramas on a team taking Puoch first...she really could be something, if you invest three years. I just find the whole 'already plays against pros' thing kinda weird.

[Edit] I wonder if Atlanta talked to Aari McDonald, Jordin Canada and Naz Hillmon about Borlase as they all played offseason in Australia? Steph Talbot missed the season over here, which made Borlase item 1a on the scouting report against Adelaide.

I thought Muhl was a good pickup for Seattle, given their roster.

Muhl was under-drafted for sure. Top notch defense, good passer, good shooter.

I also found it amusing (and smart) that the Fever went with the most highly regarded perimeter defender in the 2nd round, Celeste Taylor. They want Clark ready on day one, and Taylor may make the roster just because she’s great for CC’s development. She doesn’t do much but defend.

I really don't understand Indiana tripling up on guards. They were already really deep at guard and looking like they were going to have to cut a rotation worthy backcourt player. They also have zero depth behind their starters at forward/center.

Kinda still can't believe they went to the same team. I didn't think about that possibility in advance.
That is going to be one fiery, physically dominant, bullyball front line.

I think it fits in well with the established pieces they have there. Kahleah Copper and Marina Marbrey like to bomb from 3, Diamond Deshields is apparently healthy and coming back. Alanna Smith was their only reliable big last year but they added talent in the offseason: defensive specialist Brianna Turner, Isabelle Harrison, and Michelle Onyenwere.

Kamilla already said her and Angel snatching all the rebounds.

I dont think nobody was expecting it, but was it a genius move to build a front line with them cause they will bring so much fire. Im expecting there will be some chippy games against them this year.

Also Angel got more of a J than people realize. This is her right before the draft with Chris Brickley. Im thinking Mulkey did not want her on the perimeter taking much shots.

I still dont know exactly what their offensive games are going to look like in the W. Cardoso basically played like Shaq all throughout the tournament, constantly banging for deep post position and passing to shooters. She'll be able to do that some in the league, but everynow and then she'll play Dallas (a team with 2 players just as big as her) or Phoenix or just in general be playing against frontlines she cant Shaq against. Hard to combine Rees' drives with Cardoso's post ups. The W has been moving away from 2-big lineups where neither can shoot, but not entirely (Stokes and A'ja just won a title together for example!)

Copper was traded to Phoenix. Part of the trade was the Kardoso pick.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

True true true. Damn it's so hard to keep track of WNBA offseason moves because they don't update rosters in most places until the next season begins.

It invalidates the thought. Chicago is probably going to be very strapped for shooting.

Yeah both Kamilla and Angel are straight up bullies  they will be fun to watch

If Angel can space the floor at a respectable clip, and frankly she has to for this to work, they are going to be a seriously problem on both ends.

This season is gonna be incredible competition wise

Yeah I saw that one, that was cool.

If I was a fashion company/designer I'd be running to contract her to be a model for my brand. Last night she looked like she would crush it on the runway

The thing is half of these draft picks are getting cut. So it doesn't matter.

Yeah the dark side of the WNBA is the majority of those that got drafted will be cut. The WNBA draft is mostly a joke outside of the first 15 or so.

The WNBA has a big problem. If they don’t expand rapidly they will be issues with the new wave of talent coming in.

WNBA is like Europe. It’s really about the veterans more than the younger players.

I learned about this the last two years seeing good rookies getting cut left and right cause there is no room for them
