There is lots of upside in Jovic, but hey its just you. When they let him handle the ball more , the other aspects of his game will open, passing, driving to the basket etc. He made some mistakes but he's still green with the constant playing time he will get much better.

Personally, i find Jovic to be heavy footed. Speed, athleticism and mobility similar to Dario Saric in defending in space, rim protection or rebounding.

Skillwise, more of stretch 4 and attacking close outs. He will benefit alot playing with Jokic on offense.

He’s a very good shooter and probably can average 40% at some point.

Yea their personality definitely becomes more hostile at sports events, but I agree that they are generally very friendly. I remember once on vacation in the Balkans I got approached by a group of 5 Serbs, they were all about 6'5 or taller. I'm 6'1 and have a decent frame, but didn't know what to expect. They literally had softest voices and were just curious to know where I'm from. They are like marshmallows inside, as long as you don't disrespect them.

Yep, in general that's how most of the population has been.

Kind of haha. Celebrations took place in front of the ING headquarters who is the German federation's main sponsor.

A question to the Serbs/Balkan specialists do you guys normally celebrate silver medals in basketball? I know this event was mixed since it obviously featured Djokovic. I'm asking purely out of interest cause I know many countries would celebrate silver, while some wouldn't. Of course, there were a bunch of players missing on Serbia's team so this was an awesome achievement regardless.

Not many people in Serbia expected Serbia to even qualify for the Olympic games, when players gathered for the training camp month ago the atmosphere around NT was somber with Jokic and others cancelling their participation at WC. So that's why they received this celebration, deservedly so also it happened that Djokovic just won US Open so he joined too. Jokic was partying with the NT later in the club, he's the functional alcoholic I guess. He didn't deserve to be there but I guess he received invitation from the team.

If not, more beer for everyone? Since it isn't that popular I think they made the players pay for the beer after the first round???

Since making fun of germans not interested in basketball is kind of "in":
The final was broadcasted on "national tv" (ZDF) and via "livestream" (MAGENTA TV). The national
tv broadcast had a watch percentage of 35% alone, meaning WITH the ones watching the livestream about 50% of germany watching anything on tv/stream watched the basketball world championship final which is WAY MORE in comparisson to the soccer game the day before against japan and about the same as the soccer game against france on monday.

Like I said here before, and got a bunch of pushback, but nonetheless I was correct, Scariolo is no way in hell close to being the best FIBA coach ever.

He's failed as a coach over and over and over in the EuroLeague, with teams with big budgets. It's a big difference in EuroLeague, where the level is so much more evenly spread out versus being able to coach an individual power like Spain, that has so much more of a talent pool than almost anyone else.

Virtus Bologna fired coach Sergio Scariolo just before the start of the season

For the 30 or so years prior to Giannis joining the Greek NT, they were always ranked between 3rd and 10th in the world, and were most of the time ranked in the top 4-6. Now, after all these years with Giannis, they are down to 14th..............

So for Canada? Would you also “blame” their rise in rankings to their NBA players? Just wondering…

According to many, the worst player in the NBA is like a million times better than the best player not in the NBA. So Canada being anything other than 2nd is a failure, and Giannis' whole time with the national team is an absolute disaster.

LOL. Can’t even admit it huh? They rose from 15th to 6th, just using your rose-colored Euro glasses logic . LOL
