There is a chance he comes back healthy and we basically drafted a center for depth.

I think wing/guard would be my focus.

We also have 30mil to play with in FA we can find a decent center if need be.

Considering that question exists and is very real and we have trash for depth at C, Clingan fits a need one way or another. Not only that, but this team needs more size and toughness.

After Clingan, I like Buzelis but I’m expecting him to be gone. I’m sure we’ll end up with Castle and I hope I’m wrong about him. Having no shot in the NBA is killer though. I don’t see how he plays heavy mins if he can’t make open threes.
So who do you see us targeting in FA if we take Clingan?

We still have enough money to add another legit piece to the puzzle while also having the ability to sign Miles.
It's not a guarantee we get hartenstein. If clingan is there I think he gotta be highly considered. Where we pick I have

Clingan
Holland
Buzelis
Castle

I'll be happy with any one of these guys, Castle, probably the least. Holland is bigger, younger, more athletic, and has more tools. But clingan at the worst gives us depth if Mark is healthy and a center if he's not so we don't see so much Richards.

Clingan is really good, solid shooting form, and good mobility/athleticism for such a big guy. If either Buzelis or Clingan make it to 6 I’m picking him. If both make it…all depends on Mark’s REAL prognosis. Need new docs and trainers to evaluate him well before this draft.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Torching guys with pool noodles is pretty impressive considering I’ve seen us draft guys that lost a 1 on 1 to a chair

Rockets desperately need rim protection. I can see them shifting Sengun to PF. Clingan's upside as a spacer is overlooked. He will be able to space at the 5, allowing the Rockets to have Sengün space with playmaking at the 4 eventually.

I'm calling it now.

Rockets select Clingan.

Also listen to all his interviews. He's really high IQ and very much a spiritual leader through 2 championship runs. The ball sticks to his hands.

Safe pick with upside who fits a need in.Houston.

Also Buzelis looks very fluid. He's high IQ as well. Can space at the 4 alongside Duren. He's perfect for Detroit.

I'm calling it now.

Pistons select Buzelis.

Subtract Buzelis (Pistons @ 5) and your draft boils down to Holland vs. Castle.

I think that's where the action is for Charlotte.

Castle for me.

I don't see this as a very realistic option. Sengun is a career 28% 3pt shooter and only made 33 last season, also just a 70% from FT.
Clingan is even worse, 2/9 from 3 in 2 yrs of college basketball, shot 58% from line.

Plus they traded 3 2nd round picks for Steven Adams, still have Jock Landale and Jabari Smith played some center for this year.

Just see no way the Clingan, Sengun pairing makes any sense for more than 4-5 mins per game.

Sarr pretty much 0% to make it to 6.
Topic could if Washington goes Clingan and Spurs go Dilly at 4, I would say about 10% chance.
Risacher feels like the pick at 3 or 5. I would say maybe 20% chance he is there at 6.
Clingan is likely on the board if Washington doesn't take him. 70% he is on board at 6.
Castle, I don't see a real suitor for him in the top 5, feels pretty safe he is on board probably 80% he is available.
Matas could be pick at 5, but feels like enough options for Detroit that I would say still 60-70% he is avail at 6.
Holland same as Matas.

I am out on Dillingham after seeing his choice of shirt. 3:05, questionable decision making...

The 6th pick has been a pretty bad spot if you look at recent drafts.. it is gross.

Dillingham was awful

So Dillingham is very undersized which means Reed is going to be undersized as well and both will be there at 6. A buck 60 is very small.

Dillingham is completely off my board now. I'm not repeating the Terry experiment

Castle measurements: awful. 6' 2.25'' without shoes, 6' 8.75'' wingpsan.

I am officially out on him at #6 after seeing those measurements. That is not good at all.

Compare him to Holland and Walter: 6' 6.50" without shoes, 6' 10.75'' wingspan for Holland, 6' 4.25'' without shoes, 6' 10.00'' for Walter.

Yeah those measurements are disappointing for Dillingham.
