Thunder should be able to get a better option than Richards this off season.
Capela would be great for them

good call Fats, although Murray wasn't bad everyone else was terrible.

Denver needs to accept they need bench players at some point.

Bruce brown leaving hurt them badly.

They couldn't match the athleticism. Naz Reid came in and dominated.

Gordon needed to step up, he's as athletic as anyone but he struggled. probably too banged up.
i do love how there are always stories of unsung heroes making differences in playoffs.

he was invisible in 2nd half. honestly, murray is really just terry rozier, a random combo guard who gets white hot sometimes and has a clutch gene, but when he's not going bonkers he's useless.
mpj is a 5th option, at best
nugz never replaced the shot creators they lost the past two offseasons.
joker needs help next year. i'd be aggressive in offseason if i was denver.
anyway, go wolves. hope they win it all.
and damn, knicks could have beaten celts if they didn't get destroyed by injuries. go pacers vs celts

Team literally won a championship just last year with the core players still intact.
Now they need to blow it up a year later?
Joker missed just as many shots as Murray. They had a similar statline for fg's. Minny was just a better team.
These excuses for players must stop. If you're great when you win then don't blame others when you lose.
Denver had this game in the basket and they simply choked it away. They lack depth. The team itself can still compete they just need to retool around the core pieces.

Re: Around the NBA 12
did i say they should "blow it up"? they need to aggressively made some moves. i don't think those things are they same thing.
nugz made the mistake that many title teams do in any sport, thinking they could just run it back.
they lost a lot of depth in the past few offseasons. 2 of their "core" guys are super injury prone (murray/mpj). they don't have anyone outside of joker and murray that can create offense or handle the ball. they don't have a backup center causing joker to play huge minutes.
mpj is on a massive contract and he's a mediocre role player
if they keep that core together and simply run it back, they will lose again next year, guaranteed.
no mvp has ever had less help than joker.
i would strongly look to trade porter (or murray)

Re: Around the NBA 12
Their starting 5 is good.
But they can't have Braun or Reggie Jackson be their best bench player. Bruce Brown basically functioned as a 6th starter last year. Jeff Green was also a solid 3&D player.
They replaced neither of them.
Honestly, they should've lost to the Lakers too. But that's just a great matchup for Denver.

Re: Around the NBA 12
The intensity of defense from the Wolves was amazing. Throughout the lineup, they stepped it up and smothered Denver, wore them out. Joker was almost wheezing and sweating profusely late. Denver also got that look in their eyes when they were falling apart…the kind soldiers get when surrounded and outgunned.
These series prove again how today’s NBA is steered by talented stars but anchored by quality depth. No wonder the Hornets have crapped the bed these many years.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: Around the NBA 12
Murray had a great playoffs the year they won, also I think MPjr helped more on the boards and worked harder last year.
Wolves being able to throw bodies at Jokic really wore him down.
A couple of additions and they will be back next year

FO should be trawling the Pacers staff for player development guys. How the heck did TJ suddenly turn into Jamal Crawford?

He's averaging 11 points in the playoffs and we're gassing him up like he's Jamal Crawford

Ever since JJ Redick starting sucking him off relentlessly every broadcast. I like Mcconnell but damn
