Maybe he can show MKG a thing or three.

Him and Price should team up and work with MKG, or Price can work on MKG and Adam can work on Zeller

Should we pray that we get Detroit's pick?

that's the guy I basically learned to shoot from. Some basketball magazine I used to read as a kid always featured him with interviews and tips on proper technique

If we're not able to trade up or out of this draft I think we're looking at a choice between Jordan Adams or PJ Hairston for our pick at 24. Assuming of course we want to add a 2 guard that can shoot. I like Adams' game, but I don't like his commitment to conditioning. He's way too chubby to play long minutes on the perimeter in the NBA right now, so I like Hairston more between the two of them.

Hairston would probably be better off getting out of North Carolina, but his aggressive style is made for the NBA and is exactly what we need on the perimeter. He has limitations when it comes to creating off the dribble, but that is certainly not a deal breaker. Bradley Beal, Aaron Afflalo, Demar Derozan, etc. aren't known for their ability to create off the dribble. That said I doubt Hairston will ever be able to defend as well as Beal and Derozan, but if he's playing with MKG it won't matter.

If the Detroit pick carries over and we're lucky enough that their front office fumbles another offseason away all bets are off. I'm going to be all in for lottery ball fever again. As I said in the wing upgrade thread our best hope at finding the dynamic scorer we need to truly contend is with that pick. All signs point to Emmanuel Mudiay being that guy. A lot of teams that will likely be tanking next year are going to go after the bigs so there's a chance he could be there for us. He's from the Congo just like Biyombo and us picking him would have the added benefit of pissing Larry Brown off. It's a deam, but we're long past due for some good luck so I have hope.

Mudiay is a point though.

Mudiay is a point though.

But he is 6-5 and has great athletic ability, he can convert to SG maybe

I guess so. We will need a tremendous amount of good fortune. I wish we had just drafted Beal.

Mudiay is a point though.

Can you imagine if we eventually traded Corey Maggette for Ben Gordon and Emmanuel Mudiay? That trade was a heist.

Especially given that Detroit used the cap space they got from that trade to sign such a bad contract that they'll probably have to give up another pick to free themselves from it.

Ah get over it. 17/3/3 two-guards that shoot 40% come around every year.

Mudiay is more of a true PG than Walker in in my opinion. If by some freak nature we were to draft him I think Kemba would be moved off the ball in most situations or converted to a 6th man.

Beal is a great player, but I don't see him getting all that much better than he is now. He can't create off the dribble, so he is very dependent on John Wall to get his scoring opportunities. Look at how bad his numbers were last year when Wall was out and you'll see what I'm talking about. MKG makes other players better, his splits prove that (third best on the team after Kemba and Al Jeff). Beal doesn't make others players better, Nene and Wall are what make that team run. And I know I'm not the only one that realizes that we have utterly owned the Wizards over the last two years. MKG > Beal in the long-run.

Also, we could easily play Kemba and Mudiay together. That is a problem that I would loooove to have.

So a 20 year old Beal won't get too much better than he is now? I highly doubt that.
