I also think Musselman would be a great coach in the NBA. MJ and Kupchak should stay in touch with him as a potential option down the road.

Read on Twitter

He's already coached previously in the NBA with the Warriors and Kings in the 2000's. It didn't go very well and I doubt he'd get another shot.

On the season we rank 4th in the league in ORTG.

Without Melo.

Truly incredible and, even though it's early, seems like some narratives on who Cliff is and what he is able to do should be getting rewritten.

Another surprising thing is we rank bottom 5 in DRB% but 7th in ORB%. Will be interesting to see how much that shifts and whether that reflects a change in philosophy by Cliff.

Just how laid back was Borrego? The way players are talking about Cliff being no nonsense, having structure, communicating what he wants and what players are doing wrong etc... makes it sound like JB was out there drawing plays in the dirt. What was happening with that staff?

Where did the players talk about these things? Post-game interviews?

I've heard it mentioned in in-game commentary - Nick Richards comes to mind - there was a pretty lengthy sequence where they were chatting about him being happy with knowing what was expected of him. Jalen McDaniels as well.

Thanks. So far this season, the only game I've seen was against GSW so I had to ask.

I'll try to find some, although they have been sprinkled in various formats over the past few weeks

"Structure,” Kelly Oubre said. “He communicates very well on what he wants from us, and if we don’t do that he holds us accountable. That’s everything in this league because obviously we have a young team, but at the end of the day we are trying to grow and learn and be the best in our profession. And coach is bringing that out of us each and every day.”

I think I also remember seeing comments from Bouk, DSJ, and Terry... all similar in tone. Obviously DSJ wasn't here last year, but he was praising how cliff tells you what he wants, clearly.

Just all basic stuff you'd expect from any pro coach. So, the fact the players are going out of their way to mention these basic things like, structure, accountability and communication, makes me feel like they weren't happening under the previous regime.

It was obvious with the way we played under Borrego that we lacked direction and discipline. Particularly on the defensive end.

Getting him introduced to everything, where the lockers are, Jordan's office, training facilities, etc etc. Help make it a smooth transition.

RB: With LaMelo out for nearly five weeks, how tough was it during to still execute certain plays offensively when it’s just not the same without his pace?

SC: It’s hard because you build your offense around the better scorers, shot creators, stuff like that of which that’s what he is. Same with Gordon (Hayward), same with Terry (Rozier). So it makes it different. And what we’ve tried to do is not get away from running because we need to be a running team. But then like the half-court stuff has been a lot different without him.
