DJ Augustin's Value

Post#1 » by becorz » Mon Dec 19, 2011 6:56 pm

Welcome from a Kings fan visiting your forum.

I think that DJ Augustin would fit as a guard off the bench for the Kings. What would Charlotte realistically be looking for in an Augustin trade?

I think Thompson + Greene + a pick or cap relief would be realistic for both teams.

Kings need a new coach more than anything.

Uhm, Dj and Diop for Emeka? Really? I would rather enjoy watching Gana trying this and next season than sending DJ away for no good reason.

The way the pick we traded for JJ is structured, we would have to be incredibly creative with the structure to even trade another pick. So that won't work...and DJ, a soon to be FA, isn't worth that much, in my opinion.

Part of my original thinking was that I really don't like Thompson (as a player), so I was seeing if there was a match there. Like was said before, the Kings don't really need DJ. And, when I posted that, we still had Chuck Hayes. With him gone, the Kings can't afford to trade JT.

At this point, unless you guys want the poopoo (get it!?) platter of SFs, we really don't have a match.

It looks like your original thinking had more to do with you wanting the Kings to move from Sacramento by building the worst team possible. Good call on DJ. Perhaps we can interest you in Diop and Matt Carroll? We may even toss DJ in for free.
