WAKE UP YB. His knee is finished. He's probably going to have his leg amputated by the end of the summer. Its probably time for him to start thinking about competing in the special Olympics.

Seriously though, this does seem like something to be concerned about.

Yeah, you would think two months later this wouldn't be a problem. I'm hoping he's just being extra cautious. I don't think there's any reason to view it as a separate injury now from when he hurt it two months ago though.

I would rather him sit out now then push through some mild discomfort that could result in more problems down the line.

I sense the rise of the Hibbert as our starting center era. What a time to be alive.

we need a game in mid-January between us and the Pacers where Indiana is starting Al and is ranked 25th in the league in pace, while Hibbert is clocking 30 minutes for our 15-20 team.

Paul George probably told the Select Team of the horrors of injuries in the international game.

We have our PG, SG, SF, and PFs (Frank and Marv) of the future locked down, and now it's time for us to decide what we want to do at C. Looking at the 2017 FA pool, it's got a ton of big names but it is not that great at C - there are some good young RFAs that teams won't let go (Gobert, Adams, Noel) and then there are guys like Bogut, Monroe (if he exercises his option), Zaza...

It doesn't seem likely that we dip into 2017 FA to upgrade at C. This summer would have been the summer to get a FA C, but after retaining Batum and Marv we really didn't have the space to do that.

If extending Cody isn't the answer at C, what is?

I feel like Cody is going to take a big step forward this season. I hope so, I'd like to see him long term in Charlotte.

If we don't extend Cody by the deadline I'm going to assume that he and his agent think he'll get offered more than his $13 million cap hold on the market next summer. I wouldn't be that surprised if the Nets, Mavericks, or Pacers offered him more than that, but it's a gamble on his part. There are a lot of other bigs hitting restricted free agency next summer so he might end up in a Harkless situation where he's the lone man left standing and we have all the negotiating power. If we want to keep him and he's willing to sign for less than his hold it's an easy decision on the part of our front office, sign the paperwork and move on to other things.

For the sake of reference we extended MKG last summer on August 26th and the summer before that we signed Kemba right before the deadline on October 30th.

if Cody is healthy, his market value easily 15+ millions/year, but I can see Cody will accept an extension like 13millions/year because he is a very humble dude, probably the most humble dude in last season's team

Interview with Cody
- says bone bruise is fully healed
- put on 10lbs
- last year came into season thinking he was a 4, this year knows he is a 5, focused on adding strength to play center.
- nose looks like its been broken 25 times.

Didn't watch the video. So his knee issue was only a bone bruise? That makes me feel better. I was starting to get worried about him having some kind of lingering knee issue that catches up with him during the season.

Bledsoe and Zeller are the only guys there not born in Africa/without at least one of their parents from Africa. I'm wondering what got Zeller intrigued in this. A friendship with Biz?

Maybe Zeller has a taste for chocolate, if you know what I mean.

Will he be the whitest person in Africa?
