And I guess he doesn't count Noel as a sophomore?

He also stated he didn't count Adams or Olynyk due to injuries or Zeller may not have even made his list.

Adams might be debatable, I don't know, I haven't watched enough OKC. But Olynyk has no case to be above Zeller unless you ignore the defensive end of the floor entirely, which most NBA writers do for some reason. Boston guys are also generally overrated.

It's not like Zeller has been a beast or anything, but he's been great on the defensive end and has produced when given minutes.

Technically Noel is a rook. I don't think I'd trade Zeller for anyone not in that top 3 to be honest. Zeller, Len, and Noel are a push for me.

Len on the other hand is very intriguing. I'd say it's a toss up between Len and Zeller as to who has the better career. Len is excellent defensively and is still only 21. Good mobility for a big. He just needs to stay healthy.

Burke has potential, but he's been pretty bad so far. Covington has his moments, but he's 24 and is shooting below 40% from the floor this season. Not sure he belongs in the top 10.

In terms of franchise building, here is how I'd rank the top 10:

(1) Gobert
(2) Giannis
(3) Oladipo
(4) Adams
(5) Schroder
(6) Noel
(7) Zeller
(8) McLemore
(9) Dieng
(10) Plumlee

HM - Shabazz

If Len is on par with Zeller why is he not on this list?

Because apparently I suck at making lists

Slide him beneath Cody but above McLemore.

Gotcha. Sounds good. I was curious if injury had kept him off. I would say he and Zeller are really close.

I'd take Noel over Cody for sure, especially if I knew he won't have any more injuries. I'm not that beat up about missing out on him though, Zeller has done a good job thus far and I expect continued improvement.

Everyone dumped on MKG last year too. If he adds a three point shot this summer with coach Price the "experts" won't be able to keep themselves off his jock. They might even look at some numbers relating to our team performance and defense and say "Hey, he's pretty good on that side of the floor too." Bums. I sort of hate the "watch the games"-people on threads about player performance, but in the case of guys like Thorpe underrating Zeller and MKG...watch the games man.

I hope we can lock all our young guys (Biz/Cody/MKG) into affordable deals while their standing is so low around the league and among fans.

Will never forget going to the draft party and seeing the crowd reaction when Cho took Zeller...

It was a ballsy pick.

I was absolutely thrilled. Me and Sik were the only ones I believe. Not sure if you were posting on here yet. My memory fails.

I think if Noel hadn't been available the crowd would have been a lot more receptive to Zeller. If the choice was between Zeller/Bennett/McLemore there are probably no boos regardless of who we chose.

Not sure either, I probably just lurked. I didn't really know what to make of the pick. I didn't hate it, but I was surprised with it and expected one of Noel or McLemore.

I had Cody in my top 5 all year. I had him behind both McLemore and Noel, but overall I liked the pick.

i was happy about it, but I wished we could've traded down and got another asset. If I remember correctly, he was frequently around 10 on mock drafts

In the post-game presser Cliff said that Cody is day to day and might not miss any time. Cody is going to come in with Kemba today and do contact drills and they'll see how he's doing.

Through Rotowire I saw that Bonnell apparently said Cody is out Wednesday.

I'm sure Ricky tweeted it but I'm blocked.

Sweet, more minutes for Clifford's Maxiell-pad. To hell with Vonleh.

I hope this is simply the training and coaching staff being extra-cautious so that Zeller is ready for the stretch run.
