Liver_Pooty wrote:Bo Ryan lost a ton of my respect tonight. Sore, sore loser. "We don't rent a player, we don't get 5th year players" blah blah blah. Give respect to the winning team you old bastard. Coach K lost to Mercer last year and gave nothing but props to them. Roy Williams has done the same.

I do not like those comments from a coach but Wisconsin did get jobbed at the end. Two obvious turnovers that resulted in 5 points when it was a one point game spread it out. 5 of 7 straight points should not have been had there. The one and done garbage is just sour grapes though. If he complains about the 2 Winslow turnovers I have no problem because they should have been easy calls for the ref and are not judgement calls.

Whining about calls would have been worse than whining about one and done guys, IMO. Either way, it was a really tough game and I'm fine if Bo vented a little. It does surprise me though.

Oh, and...

Read up a little more on Bo Ryan's comments. Turns out he did complain about the refs too. That's getting pretty salty.

Let's see what K does in a disappointing loss:

Ryan just had a terrible day. Monday morning he has a chance to make the hall of fame and win a title in the same day.

Neither happened

Fair, and being salty in public really doesn't have much to do with how I view him. Hell, I don't think he should have to go in front of the press after a devastating loss in the first place, so I can't get too pissy about what he said when he was hyper emotional up there.

he's just a complainer. He complained about his team having one less day of rest before the UNC game. He complained about having to play in Los Angeles. Dude constantly complains

Very low class and very poor sportsmanship on Bo Ryans part. Not only did he comment about the refs, he didnt even want to give Duke any credit. As a Duke fan I will admit there were a few bad calls against Wisconsin. At the same time, there were a few bad calls against Duke as well. Someone needs to show him film on how his guys were initiating most of the contact. Dukes best 2 players were in foul trouble the entire game, yet he wants to complain about officiating? Really? He needs to go back and watch his boy Kaminsky commit many fouls that weren't called, shuffle his feet but never called, and set moving screens that were never called. He should also realize his team was beaten on their own home floor by the same team he doesn't want to give any credit to. He is lucky that Duke didn't play their best last night or it would have been a blowout. Duke missed so many layups and easy shots they normally make. I bet Winslow by himself missed more than five point blank layups he normally would make with ease. At the end of the day, Duke beat them on their own home court, beat them on a neutral site, and would whip their rearend in Cameron. Duke is just better than your team Bo Ryan.....

Oh, and you were ery lucky to get by Carolina in the 3rd round

I can't respect that Duke championship. The refs called that game totally lopsided. It was too obvious in the 2nd half. The 1st half they kinda let it go with the flow and called things kinda evenly but that 2nd half and those final few minutes was crazy. Duke got all those touch fouls while Kaminsky was getting wrestled around.

Game was ridiculously called both ways. Officials were terrible.

Christian Laettner documentary redux. Favorable calls that even a replay should've reversed.

ESPN says the refs didn't have the same view that CBS was showing the audience on the Winslow out of bounds ordeal.

Not sure how that happens.

Watching a high level womens game like UCONN and Notre Dame tonight is actually rather pleasing if you're into pure basketball.

Boring as hell if you prefer fancy dribbling and alley dunks

a college kid would've played nearly as much NBA playing time as Vonleh this year. Close enough.
