I've never in my life been more disappointed in a sports team as I am with the hornets. The fact that we couldn't make that eastern conference playoffs which looks historically bad is baffling. What a garbage organization we have been since 05

Rank the playoff teams in order who you would most like to see win the finals vs least like.

1. Golden State
2. Memphis
3. San Antonio
4. Atlanta
5. Portland
6. Dallas
7. Chicago
8. Toronto
9. Washington
10. New Orleans
11. Milwaukee
12. Boston
13. Houston
14. Clippers
15. Brooklyn
16. Cleveland

Milwaukee and Boston would be so much more likeable if it wasnt for Jason Kidd and Bill Simmons.

We need Golden State to win it all if we have any shot of luring Steph Curry when his contract is up

ATL over BRK in 5 (ATL should cruise through the Nets)
WAS over TOR in 7 (These teams suck- if we were halfway healthy, we'd beat both of them)
CLE over BOS in 6 (BOS is going to give them a real scare)
CHI over MIL in 4 (just not sold on the Bucks at all to even win a game)

GS over NO in 4 (damn I wanted Curry vs GOATbrook)
POR over MEM in 7 (LMA is the best player in this series and will play like it)
DAL over HOU in 7 (UPSET ALERT: Playoff Rondo goes ham on Pablo Prigioni the whole series)
SAS over LAC in 7 (I've bet against the Spurs for like the last five years, now I'm not)

ATL over WAS in 4 (Wizards are disadvantaged at every position but PG)
CLE over CHI in 6 (because LeBron)

GS over POR in 5 (Curry might average 35/10 against Lillard's defense)
DAL over SAS in 7 (okay now I'm betting against the Spurs. Dallas beats their other Texas rivals in a rare 6/7 matchup)

ATL over CLE in 6 (LeBron misses the finals for the first time in five years and the Hawks go from mediocre to the Finals in one year with the same roster)

GS over DAL in 7 (Curry mercilessly ends the Mavs' magical run in an epic 7-game thriller)

GS over ATL in 6 (This will just be great basketball, but I think the Warriors are unstoppable)

Finals MVP: Steph Curry

At full strength we are clearly better than Toronto and Washington. Watching these eastern conference teams in the playoffs makes me wanna fire Cliff even more, this is pathetic.

Not to point all the blame away from Clifford, but "full strength" is the key word. When were we EVER close to full strength this year? Hendo and Lance started the season injured, MKG missed like a month early on, once MKG came back Lance and Al went down, once Lance and Al came back Kemba had knee surgery, during Kemba's recovery half our roster had nagging injuries, Biz missed a month, and then once Kemba came back, Al, MKG, Cody, and Lance all got hurt.

You want to know the definition of an injury-plagued year?

Our expected top five of Al, Zeller, MKG, Lance, Kemba played 65, 62, 55, 61, and 62 games. Our bench unit didn't fare much better: Hendo (80 but was very limited for over a month), Marv (78), and Roberts (72 but he sucked) all stayed relatively healthy but Bismack was supposed to be our rock for the second unit and he only played 64 games, missing all of February. Even PJ, Vonleh, Neal, Pargo, and Mo racked up some injuries. We lost a lot of player games to injury this year, and they were scattered perfectly throughout the season, preventing any kind of lineup consistency.

Clifford had his blunders but he had a poor-fitting roster, and that roster was never even close to 100% at any point in the season. This was an all-around nightmare of a season.

Ugly basketball game. Wish Wall would just feed it to Pierce.

I guess Nene isn't a 100%, but, wow. We just saw Drew Gooden play 20+ minutes in a playoff game. Outstanding.

JVG gave props to Dell Curry as a great announcer.

I also feel bad for poor Alexis Ajinca. Dude seemingly was ready to put in work in his first playoff series, yet he has to face the damn Golden State Warriors who will play Draymond at center.

they are completely baffled by the Warriors weaving-dribble-hand-offing-screening offense. you almost can't blame them, too many damn threats out there.

I don't know how they are not down by 20. Was surprised to hear Mike Breen yell that it's only a 12-point game.

Clifford had his blunders but he had a poor-fitting roster, and that roster was never even close to 100% at any point in the season. This was an all-around nightmare of a season.

The Nets missed Lopez most of the season, D Will was hurt as was Teletovic, look at how they persevered. Look at the Bulls who missed Rose and Noah as well as Dunleavy. The Thunder missed Durant and Ibaka, and they're in the west. Cliff deserves at least 35-40 percent of the blame cause we were losing before the major injuries hit, and this was when Cliff wanted to close games with Neal and Lance over MKG who couldnt even get 30 minutes a game and he was damn near our best player overall.
We were winning without Al and Kemba too, but when Zeller went down and Cliff wanted to force the Kemba and Mo show on us it was a wrap for us. We were a playoff team at one point too, you could blame the injuries, but should we have been at that point in the first place? And to be honest, if we didnt have some of those injuries we wouldnt have played MKG more which is when our turnaround started. We should be in the playoffs man, smh.

Watching the Raptors Wizards game made me furious at times. We're better than both of those teams. We damn well better prove it on the court next year. I'm looking at you Clifford.

If we were 100% healthy and key players weren't playing like crap I think we would beat half the East playoff teams in a series. If we dont make the playoffs next season and make real progress Cliff and Cho need to be fired.
