McGowens has looked good every time he's been given an opportunity. Good shooter, reasonably athletic, attacks the rim, doesn't ball-stop (yes, you should feel attacked, Bouk), tries on defense...what's not to like? Doesn't necessarily profile as a star but he's definitely going to be a solid player.

I really hope he gets plenty of rotation minutes in the 2nd half of the season.

What a comedy of errors this game has turned out to be. Swarm blew an easy win.

Bouk better in 2nd, despite some truly embarrassing moments on both ends. Bouk iso plays dominated 4th q, with mixed results. To be fair, he was defended by Kris Dunn who I assume is one of the best perimeter defenders in the g league.

Bryce kind of disappeared in the second half. He had some pretty bad moments at the end of the game as well.

Kai did his usual, rim run dunks, spaz defending

One thing about bouk, his off ball effort on both ends is atrocious. It looks like he only tries when he has the ball in his hands or when the guy he is defending has the ball in his hands. Otherwise, he pretty much just stands around and does nothing. A lot of plays where swarm turned the ball over and he casually jogged back on defense. It's this kind of stuff that's killing his career.

Here is a perfect example of some of the infuriating ISO over dribbling by bouk

He stole the ball back immediately here and drew a foul. Crazy how that could happen with his zero hustle.

Bouknight will probably be a trade toss in at some point since we picked up his option.

Bryce is pretty clearly better as a SG and Smith and Maledon are better PG's.

If the play is right in front of him he's attentive... like stealing a ball back right after a turnover... if the play is away from him, he's in outer space.

Of course, there was a play where he turned it over, then stood and watched as the play went the other direction, but I don't have that clip.

It wasn't all bad. He's 3 off dribble is improving. He name some good passes. He was the alpha in 4th (mixed results)

You just posted 4 posts about the game with 3 of them primarily focused on ripping Bouknight. Then posted a partial video of a play that ended positively for the Hornets, but left that part out.

You can watch the game, but seems a bit motivated to make it look like Bouknight was awful and reason we lost... Borderline Propaganda.

Bouknight scored or assisted on 11 of the final 13 points in the fourth quarter.

The last two plays of the game that lost us the game in the Elam Ending were.... Bryce inbounded ball under basket after score and turned it over on a lazy pass which they scored 2 points on and then Kai Jones turned it over on a bad pass where defender ran through passing lane and ended game with breakaway dunk....

Bryce and Kai played well... but this was far from a loss just on Bouknight for being lazy or whatever.

That was quick. Seem to do this a lot. Send down for a game and then bring them back.

Have to get them some burn somehow.

Bouknight's first step is supposed to be his moneymaker but he can't even blow by Vernon Carey Jr. This guy is so clearly out of the league before year four is up. No chance we exercise his fourth year option.

I gave my honest assessment of all 3 - pros and cons.

All 3 were awful defensively. Only Kai really gave consistent effort on that end, but it's pointless cause he's out of position. Bryce wasn't any better than bouk, defensively, but is more consistent in effort.

Offensively, Bryce was the man in 1st and obv had a very efficient 37, but disappeared a bit in 2nd. They were really aggressively defending him.

Bouk had better 2nd, despite some truly bone headed plays. Yet still overdribbled, Iso way too much. Inefficient, but at least got to line. He's off the dribble 3 is improving.

The blown lead at end, was dumb defense, bad turnovers, lots of iso from bouk. Few plays where Simmons of all players, tried to take over. Bryce wasn't doing anything. Kai invisible.

It's all there in my previous comments.

I would have posted clips of other boneheaded non bouk plays, but they weren't in my feed of people I follow for Hornets.

Bouk is the one with most to prove, so he's the lightning rod, unfortunately.

This game changes nothing. Moreso reaffirms my belief that without the ball in hid hands, Bouk offers very little. And hes not good enough to run your offense thru. He needs to find a role that doesn't involve him dominating the ball. And he needs to be playing like his career depends on it, but he doesn't. Just more of his too cool for school act. Kris Dunn was busting his ass all over the floor. that was a dude playing for his career. Bouk inst there yet.

In other news, Vernon Carey was ballin.

I didn't watch the game, but just based on the boxscore it looked like Bryce got fire and should have had way more than 18 shot attempts.

Theo, Bouk and Kai to Swarm for trip to Delaware.

Bryce looks to be staying with Hornets.
