Re: Greensboro Swarm: The G-League Thread
Serious question, is Mark the best C in the G-League? Feels like every game he gets 20/15 or better.

Re: Greensboro Swarm: The G-League Thread
Are we 100% sure Kupchak is opposed to tanking?
Keep in mind when we fired Borreggo, he went up front and said not giving minutes to Kai and Bouknight was a big reason why. Mark was one of the best defenders of his draft classes and he hasn't even sniffed rotation. I can see a scenario where regardless of our record, Terry & Plumlee get traded, and Clifford gets the memo of "Hey, you're GOING to play these guys and we're gonna see what our 1st round picks are capable of."

When I die, have Michael Jordan bury me so he can let me down one last time.

That's what I find hilarious
"He didn't give developmental time to the kids so we fired him"
"PS we hired a guy even less willing to give developmental time to the kids, even on the worst team in the league"
"PPS go **** yourselves"

Especially with Kessler and Duren showing out, FOR BETTER TEAMS
Mark should have gotten every minute Kessler has gotten from the get go.

I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Cliff was a MJ hire, the first thing Mitch did when he got his was fire him.

Doesn't need a memo, just trade Plumlee and there isn't much choice.

also a desperation hire after other coaches shunned the team.
i think i would have preferred Becky Hammon, could put a spin about Miles respecting his female coach etc

Re: Greensboro Swarm: The G-League Thread
As much as I firmly believe Mark will be a solid NBA player, and I like the gaudy stats I'd like to see him do stuff other than just dunking. Vernon Carey is averaging 22 and 10 with Mark averaging 22 and 12 and Vernon can't stick around in the league. It's extremely encouraging that he isn't committing fouls, but he's not going to be getting dunks like that nonstop in the nba

For instance maybe plowright or someone can do a video off his pick and roll defense in the g league or something along those lines. He struggled with that at Duke and I'd be intrigued if he's improved in that area. I'd watch the games but I barely have enough time for hornet games. Swarm games might be more entertaining at this point unfortunately

That being said Bryce may have more upside than anyone. Deceptively athletic, great shot mechanics, and just looks smooth out there.

The Hornets are already atrocious on D, its not like putting in Mark will hurt their chances trying to win

Mason is very underrated on this board as far as defense goes. He gives up rebounds due to being undersized at the 5 but his overall defense is not that bad. Unless it's jokic or embiid and they smoke everyone.

A sign that Mark has leaped Kai in the depth chart and probably that DSJ is back

Re: Greensboro Swarm: The G-League Thread
My God the swarm defense is bad. How is it this bad? Bryce and bouk with 0 effort, Kai just Clueless on where to be.
Offensively, Bryce looks clear away best player.
Bouk still has one move, iso, dribble, dribble, dribble, Step back 3. He's made a few, but they are terrible shots. His body language is still bad.

Re: Greensboro Swarm: The G-League Thread
Just checked in at half and McGowens is leading way with 26 on 10/11 shooting.
Kai has 18/4 on 8/11
Bouk has 12 on 3/8 shooting.
Combined for 56 of 65 halftime points...

Big Board
1. Vontae Mack no matter what!!
