don't play DFS but might be interested in the future. I usually stick to "gambling" in the traditional sense, NBA and College Football mostly.

is it hard to build a boss lineup? looks like if you go for a big name you really have to dig to fill the roster out. It seems like they've got it pretty well balanced so its not too easy/difficult

Draftkings for Tuesday

PG Stephen Curry
SG Kyle Korver
SF Stanley Johnson
PF Anthony Davis
C Al Horford
G Shaun Livingston
F Doug McDermott
UTIL Nikola Mirotic

Do you try to find the balance in your roster or go top heavy like I did with Curry + Davis?

I was like you but did DFS for NFL this year on Draftkings and even though I lost money the first 4 weeks, I had great fun. Now I'm winning $125 this week on 45 dollars bet. Finally got the hang of it by doing double ups, head to head, and then only a few tournament plays.

I feel like you almost always have to anchor your lineup with one of the megastuds - Davis, Lebron, Westbrook, Durant, Harden, CP3, Curry, Cousins - and then find 2/3 cheap options who are slated to get heavy minutes. There were days last year that if you didnt have Harden, Westbrook, Davis or Cousins in your lineup on one of the nights they put up 60-70 points you had no chance. But if you miss on one of those guys, your also have no chance.

Last year it seemed a lot of people would try to find 2-3 really high scoring games, then stack a bunch of players in those games.

No, I really only play for fun. I was only doing one entry per day for $1. I always did the $1 single entry tournament, just to give me something to root for. But the best way to make some steady cash is the 50/50 leagues. Then you can throw a few bucks towards the tournaments and hope for the big money. That being said, I refuse to play the multi-entry tournaments. Its just not fun playing against people who have put up 100 lineups that cover basically every possible scenario (especially on the nights with only a few games).

That's what would bother me just the fact that people can beat you with sheer volume. I might get into it though just because its hard for me to keep up with the mid season NBA gambling slog. I've made some decent money on NBA props and stuff during the season as well as the team total over/unders which I promptly throw away on college football.

My first thought was DAMN, that team is stacked. My second thought was, wait, is this an 8-team league? I'm going to assume that most of the other teams are also equally stacked.

I'll give you a tip. Any backup point guard playing against the Pistons. I'm watching the game and Steve Blake is the Pistons backup and he's an absolute sieve on defense. Capitalize on this while you can. No way he's still getting major minutes in a month. He's one of the slowest players i've seen in a while. My dad could go right around him.

This lineup is a loser. Butler didnt hit, neither did Reggie, Bazemore or Stanley. I picked the wrong Pistons. Drummond, KCP and Morris were the ones to target. In hindsight, I should have gone with the game that is more likely to be higher scoring - GS/NO and stacked a bunch of guys from that game. Schroeder and Millsap were solid though.

Bazemore really hurt me. Johnson hurt a good bit as well. With Davis, Thompson and Barnes I shpuld still double up though. Drummond with 52 fantasy pts. Beast

I was one pick away from drafting Drummond in my league. He fell all the way to 18, and I was 19th. He's going to average 15/15/3 this year.

Steph Curry 22 points in the first 10 minutes of the game. Looks like you should play whoever plays the Pelicans at PG/SG, they are so thin and bad defensively in that area.

Likely not going to win anything tonight becuase I went with Horford instead of Drummond.

Man does my Serious Dynasty League team look good though
