Can't think of a better post on this thread than to wish congrats to the TAR HEEL basketball team and coach HUBERT DAVIS for being the number 1 preseason ranked team for the 10th time heading into the season. That is the most ever. They are LOADED maybe even 13 deep.

I am not sure if I will remain a TAR HEEL fan if they WIN TOO MUCH... I am not a fan of teams that WIN ALL THE TIME. If everyone became a TAR HEEL fan that would be no fun.

That is a reason why I don't like 1st rounders. I like teams/players that go unnoticed. One of the reason why I LOVED PERNELL WHITAKER. Some would argue he wasn't as popular as the Chavez, De La Hoya,Mayweathers etc... but boy, oh boy, was it fun to root for him. RIP sweet pea.

Dude...

You can't say you might not root for the Tar Heels if they win too much and that you don't normally root for teams that win all the time. The Tar Heels are one of the most winningest college programs in the history of basketball. They are on the Mount Rushmore of basketball programs.

Like wut???

I love being a fan of a team that wins all the time. If it wasn't for Duke basketball or how the Canes I wouldn't even know what the hell winning even felt like

I also want to wish coach Schyer luck going forward at Duke. I normally wouldn't wish a rival luck but there are a few guys on this board who are duke fans who are truly awesome and I would hate to win every game and have them experience heartache. Hopefully the rivalry remains and both teams can continue to beat up on each other with Carolina winning just a tad more for slight bragging rights

Who makes your 4?
I was thinking UNC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky.

Who is the next 4?
UCLA - argument to include them in top 4 based on their 60/70s dominance
Mich St - don't have the long history
Indiana
Syracuse
UConn
Villanova

With me I am ok rooting for the HEELS because college ball is a bit different in that there are MANY DOOK and UK fans. Possible slightly more so than TAR HEEL fans so it kinda washes out and so many people support certain universities that you get a feel that you are supporting your OWN team. ESPN even goes out of their way to show when dook or uk fall out of the top 10 on the scroll update lol. And college ball isn't as popular as the NBA on a level where people actually sit and talk about it like the NBA, COLLEGE FOOTBALL or the NFL.

Also it's so hard to win MARCH MADNESS that the chances of forming a dynasty is almost non existant.

That is an accurate list imo as far as the 2nd group goes. I am not sure how much weight to give UCLA or INDIANA because they are so PAST TENSE. I think Gonzaga can be considered in the convo but they are yet to win a chip so very little on their part.

So glad CMac is gone.. I wanted him gone for years now. We are rumored to get 3 picks in return for him from the 49ers. Many might have liked Cmac but I never thought he actually made us better. Imo he took away from the offense as a whole by being a decoy instead of a MAIN PLAY option.

Cmac was deceptive in his help imo because he would end up with stats similar to

80 YARDS CATCHING

80 YARDS RUSHING

160 TOTAL YARDS

Now those are just examples but what I mean is, it would look like he had a GREAT GAME because
we would look at those yards as a WHOLE and say wow 160 total yards.

But what you often didn't see imo was instead of the 80 passing (dump off yards) some of those yards
could have been better used throwing down field for recievers.

and instead of the 80 rushing yards those would have often been better with a bigger/multi running back option.

Teams would zero in on him and our offense was very predictable and contained.

I did like cmac for SHORT yardage situations like GOAL line etc...

i hate to see cmc go, but we got good value for him.

Full terms:
-- The #49ers get star RB Christian McCaffrey.
-- The #Panthers get a 2nd round pick in 2023, a third-rounder in 2023, and a fourth-round pick in 2023. Plus, a fifth-rounder in 2024.

It was a good trade. CMC gets hurt too much and we need a rebuild. DJ Moore and Brian Burnes are probably next.

But the offense without CMC is going to be unbelievably bad. I'd start Eason for the hell of it, see if he is any good or not.
