Nigerian Dwight: The James Nnaji Thread

Post#1 » by amcoolio » Fri Jun 23, 2023 3:25 am

Pick 31. 6'10", built like a tank, shows very good defensive upside, foul prone and super raw offensively though

Edit: Also 2nd youngest player in the draft, apparently

I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Ehh putting on my cynic hat, don't see him ever touching the court for us, plus we are already focusing on guys like Kai, Williams, and Thor.

Don't mind the trade though. If the FO sees something in him, then it's worth a try.

The build reminds me of Jalen Duren. Could be awesome.

I'm sorry but his highlight videos, he looks more fluid than Kai on both ends of the floor. He obviously needs years of seasoning but I'd bet on his future over Kai. Although this guy will never be a shooter

He has the exact same height/wingspan as Biyombo and even though he is raw offensively, you can tell he is already better offensively than Biyombo will ever be.

But what's his FG% when being defended by orange cones?

oh I really like this pick. love physical bruisers, I could see him working out for us and possibly being Marks backup whenever we bring him over. He's almost surely already better than Kai.

Don't ever expect this guy to shoot outside of 3 feet. Dunker only.
He is a career 44.1% free throw shooter.

Worth a stash and has a potential NBA rotation role at least as a rebounder and rim protector.

I mean he may learn to shoot a little. Only been playing ball for 6 years or so. I will say during highlights I don’t see him bobble passes much. At least it looks like he is good hands.

Believe I saw he was 2nd youngest player drafted after GG.
If he improved there is a good chance he could of been drafted in teens in next years draft.
Big Board
1. Vontae Mack no matter what!!
