Pure Speculation, but if the new ownership were getting outside help via trades Langdon advising us to get Vasa makes a ton of sense. As he is 2x Euroleague Champ and Mvp himself.

Install a new medical team before someone gets a headache and trepanning them is recommended.

You might want to think about the medical problems with the Hornets. If you are suggesting Gordo is credible his track record with injuries would not support that thought. The guy hardly ever was WILLING to play. We all suspect he was probably not a leader in the locker room but was he actually a bad influence on the younger players concerning their injuries. I doubt that the medical staff was the problem. JMO

Two quotes from a couple of days ago:
"In addition to upgrading the roster and, most likely, hiring a new coach, the new exec will likely be tasked with overhauling and modernizing the team's threadbare internal infrastructure, notably on the scouting and player health fronts."

"To add to the last part, I’ve heard from a couple people, there’s concern from the players about the current medical staff."

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/274833/Jeff-Peterson-Trajan-Langdon-Matt-Lloyd-Emerge-As-Candidates-For-Hornets-Job

Sources tell Marc Stein that the Brooklyn Nets' Jeff Peterson, New Orleans Pelicans' Trajan Langdon and Minnesota Timberwolves' Matt Lloyd are three leading candidates for the position.

I'm older than our incoming head of basketball operations. I hate it here.

It's difficult to judge these personnel hires as from the outside we don't see what work they put in and the discussions/input between the different people involved in making basketball decisions.

Still I'm glad we gave a young up and comer a chance over a GM retread

He was the Hawks GM for a few years too.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2685602-hawks-gm-wes-wilcox-makes-racially-insensitive-joke-at-fan-event

He also had a controversy about a racial joke he made.

"I know you guys may be angry with me, but I'm used to it because I have a black wife and three mixed kids, so I'm used to people being angry and argumentative," Wilcox said, according to Crawford and another Deadspin source at the event.

Meh, Guy with black wife and mixed kids makes joke about himself somebody doesn't like.

I'm sure he and his family have heard much worse from others who don't appreciate that he's in a biracial family.

Creeps me out a bit if they aspire to reconstruct a circa 2015 ATL mgmt team. Not like that crew created some sustainable winner or anything.

Agree…a new start here needs some diverse perspectives and experience. Peterson is their choice to command the ship, but no matter his qualifications or perceived ability, his experience is light. A GM from a different team, a good team background, is needed.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
