It was reported that the Nets were going after Budenholzer last week. I wonder what happened?

That was a one time thing over a decade ago and I'm pretty sure he was found not guilty because his breathalyzer results were below the legal limit.

We dodged one with Young. Jordi was interesting but was never one of my top personal choices.

Bud is just sitting out there, at risk of not coaching two seasons in a row when he's got a contending coaching pedigree. JUST GO ALL IN ON BUD PLEASE

Geez, the list is LONG for interviews. That seems ridiculous. Why do preliminary interviews with (seemingly) twenty people, and include superfluous possibilities like Dawn Staley (zero pro experience), yet not include Bud in that group?

I’d think this gang of ours could have avoided using the “wide net” strategy. That’s something done with small potato hiring. Even assistants looking to move up don’t want to get publicly revealed, especially in a massive group, only to not be hired. If you’re part of a small, focused group of announced candidates and miss out, it still speaks highly of being considered. Part of a huge mass employment line? No wonder Fernandez is taking the Nets job.

Hope our junior GM knows what he’s doing….

Tells me they have no idea who the HC will be. Usually a short list means they already have someone as a target.

Maybe Bud was the main guy, but he told them he wasn't interested.
