I also don't buy into the "x coach doesn't want to come here" narrative. It's the NBA, there are only 30 HC positions and each off-season only a small amount become available.
Bud is an NBA champion and has led 60 win teams. Trust me when I say he isn’t coming back to develop a young team to winning 35 games. He's going to a contender, very likely Dallas if they lose early.
I am thinking we need a fast paced offensive coach to get the best out of this team btw. Trying to make LaMelo Ball into a pick your spots methodical player is a crime against humanity. Make it run and gun free flowing offense. That’s why I wanted Fernandez from Sacramento, I love the Kings offense and for us it’s attainable. I really miss Borrego’s offense, we need another mind like that.
