You guys going to let us lose and stay at No. 4?

Ha! We'll be lucky if we don't lose by 30.

If our starters play at all, I'll be pissed.

Need to rest em all, plus Brandon. Lose this worthless game Hornets. Even the Spurs are resting Wemby. They are hoping Cliff does what stupid Cliff does.

imho, pick 3 is a lot better than pick 4. I'd be happy with any of the top 3

I enjoyed the halftime interview with Leaky Black, he seems like a solid guy. Too bad he can't shoot to save his life.

He mentioning talking to NSJ on the bench about how they need to get the ball moving when they get into the game since it was stagnant with the starting unit. That's the sort of thing I like to hear from end of the bench role players. Pay attention, discuss how things could be improved.

And NSJ shows just how stupid Cliff has been to sit him most of the season. Kid gets hot and is hard to cool down. The scrubs are stars for the day and win a game that may cost us a spot in the lottery, but congrats to them. Hungry dogs eat!

We are the worst tanking team in the league. At least NSJ looked pretty solid. Wonder if Thor tricked us into keeping him.

Maybe the Spurs will beat the Pistons.

Happy for the Swarm

NSJ has some potential and he flashed it tonight, hopefully he can take a step forward next season and begin to earn some minutes.

Thor had the game of his career exactly when he needed it. His post-game interview was pretty entertaining in itself. When Ashley asked him what he needed to work on this offseason he mentioned shooting and 'the mental part' of basketball  He's clearly trying for what it's worth. Also said we're going to the playoff next year so get ready.

I was happy for Bolden as well. Eric Collins got in as many Bold and the Beautiful jokes as he could tonight, he will miss those next season.

If Kai Jones can get a contract, JT Thor can DEFINITELY get a contract.

Thor doesn't turn 22 years old until the end of August. He's still younger than a lot of the rookies in the upcoming draft class.

I'm not as down on him as others. He is a flawed player now but I haven't given up on him becoming a respectable contributor. He's increased his 3pt% every year, from 25% as a rookie to 32% as a sophomore to almost 35% this season. His defense has always been his best attribute. Obviously his feel for the game is the achilles heel, but he wouldn't be the first guy to look lost at 21 and have things slow down for him later on.

I could easily imagine him pulling a Malik Monk and becoming pretty good on another team if we cut him loose.

Cleveland was trying to lose…they wanted the 4th seed. Per ESPN article:

The Cleveland Cavaliers seemingly went out of their way to ensure that they were the fourth seed by using their end-of-bench players down the stretch and losing to the hapless Charlotte Hornets, who had basically their entire rotation ruled out before the game. The Hornets outscored Cleveland 32-14 in the fourth quarter.

"Yeah, I mean we were trying," Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff told reporters after the game. "Again, in live time, it's hard to get all that information. We were aware as some of that stuff was going on.

"But once we sat our guys at the end of the third quarter and they had the mindset of not going back in, I didn't want to take any risks of putting them back into the game. When everyone had already cooled down and then something else happens."

"So, you are always aware of it, you are always taking a peek at it," he continued, "but I thought the safety of our guys was the most important thing. When they were shut off, I didn't want to have and ramp them back up to put them late in the fourth quarter when something worse could happen to them. That's what we stuck with."

The loss by Cleveland ensured that the Cavaliers would finish fourth in the conference standings. If the Cavs had won, they would have secured the No. 3 seed by owning the tiebreaker over the Bucks.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

The Cavs tanking that game was just disgraceful. Their own coaching staff obviously believes they are frauds. What kind of message does that send to the Cavs players? If the Hornets did that in a similar situation I'd be beside myself and have zero confidence in the team making a playoff run.

Are they really content winning one playoff series when this might be their last year with the current core? Who cares if they beat Orlando, Boston is now assuredly going to kick their ass in round two. The only shot they had at keeping Mitchell around was a conference finals run and now that's out the window unless Tatum and Brown both blow out their knees next week.
