When your goal is just to play games, it doesn't alleviate any concern with injuries healing

It's sad players have to hold LaMelo accountable. That tells me he's still having trouble being a team leader. Hopefully something clicks this off-season and he comes back focused and healthy.

Also Bridges said "this is a business at ths end of the day." That tells me he's not a sure thing to come back and we all know Rich Paul will be looking for the best offer for Bridges. If he comes back to Charlotte it will be because we decided to pay him big time money. He's not staying on a discount at 26 years old.

Yeah, never thought I’d have such concern for bringing Miles back after all his crap happened, but clearly he worked hard, and performed well for us. Hopefully we can bring him back, OR secure a sign and trade that fits just as well or better. Have no clue where that might come from.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Having a stated goal to play 75 games is so strange

Watching lamelo being forced to talk to the Press is one of the most painful things you can possibly watch. 4 years into the league and he can still barely give a 4 minute coherent Q&A.

Not sure where this is coming from.

A guy who barely plays, doesn't talk to the media and when he does he sounds like a 18yr old with his cussing and unprofessionalism.

Still not sure what your original point was other than to just slam Melo.

I'm always slamming Melo according to you.

My issues with Melo is his health and maturity. Not once have I ever disrespected his game. Melo is a potential superstar if he can stay on the court.

Accountability is my point.

What player is holding him accountable and what are you pointing to as evidence that it's happening and is necessary?

Do you think he doesn't care about playing?

Read those quotes carefully. If you don't realize who is holding him accountable then I can no longer help you figure this out.

LaMelo is a case study in arrested social development, which is not surprising given he's been a celebrity since he was a kid. He genuinely loves basketball though and all of his teammates enjoy playing with him, but I don't think he'll ever be a leader. We shouldn't expect that from him. As long as he takes basketball seriously and stays out of trouble off the court that's all we can ask of him.

I mean I'd prefer you just tell me what you're talking about but I guess it's cool if you refuse to.

I don't think there are any quotes indicating that Melo needs to be held accountable by another teammate or that any teammates have influenced anything about how his injuries have been handled this season.

Grant Williams literally defended LaMelo in his exit interview, noting that some people on social media think LaMelo is this immature dude that's only all about the flare and jewelry. Grant noted how professional LaMelo is behind the scenes and how badly he wants to win. 90% of the negative LaMelo takes out there are based on external judgement that derives from images or clips of him smiling and wearing weird (to some of us) clothing.

Grant Williams on LaMelo Ball:

"He's had some good vets, but he hasn't had the ones who teach him everything. I think that's something that this group provides."

"In order for our team to be great, we need him to be great, we need him to be available."
